TV host Wendy Williams receives diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia and speech-affecting aphasia

  • Williams was given the same diagnosis that Bruce Willis previously received

Wendy Williams’ ‘cognitive issues’ are coming into closer focus after she was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and primary progressive aphasia.

The 59-year-old talk show host’s care team announced her new diagnosis on Thursday in a press release.

They said Williams had undergone ‘a battery of medical tests’ before arriving at the diagnosis, which comes days ahead of the release of her Lifetime documentary Where Is Wendy Williams?, which details her struggles with alcohol abuse and mental health in recent years.
