It’s no secret Tristan Black and Cassandra Allen’s experience on Married At First Sight has been anything but a fairy tale.
But it appears like their marriage won’t last the distance, if a slip of the tongue comment during an interview with Daily Mail Australia is anything to go by.
When asked where he currently stands with Cass, the 30-year-old Northern Beaches-based DJ revealed: ‘I’ve put my guard back up a bit, which is a bit annoying.’
‘We are still very close, but it’s just a bit of a hinder,’ he added.
‘At the end of the day, like I said before, ”there’s one thing me and Cass do well and that’s number one, honesty, and number two, trying.”’

Elsewhere during the tell all interview, Tristan addressed his thoughts recent leaked private text messages between himself and Jack, that were made public by former MAFS groom Harrison Boon.
‘I was really upset about that, actually,’ he revealed. ‘At the end of the day I just get upset when people just leak any of my text messages and it wasn’t cool.’
‘It’s a private place, but at the exact same time, I’m like, it just shows me that maybe he’s not as sorry as he’s making out to be.
‘Just because we all make mistakes, we’re all humans… but sometimes you gotta learn just to cop it and not try to re-fix it if that makes sense. Yeah, I was actually pretty annoyed by that.’
Married At First Sight continues on Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel Nine.
