Trina McGee said she was able to conceive her fourth child in her fifties because she was able to reverse menopause.
The Boy Meets World star, 54, credited that natural remedies recommended by ‘shamans’ in Belize to how she was able to get pregnant again.
She claimed that a ‘low-stress environment’ contributed to how she was able to turn back early stage menopausal signs and bear a child many years after she had her last.
This comes shortly after the actress announced she was expecting with her fourth child — her first with her husband of nearly two decades, Marcello Thedford.
She also shared how her fourth pregnancy — which she called ‘miracle, beautiful and triumphant’ — has been going for her after previously giving birth to three children in an interview with Entertainment Tonight published on Tuesday.

Thedford is also father to a son named Elijah from a previous relationship.
However, McGee said they had been wanting to expand their family and have a baby together.
‘I have been saying I wanted to have a baby with my current husband of 16 years for quite a while,’ she explained.
She recalled that they ‘tried’ to conceive naturally, considered IVF before they turned to natural remedies.
At the time, she explained that she was one year into menopause.
She explained that they sought out help from ‘shamans’ in Belize, where Thedford has a ‘cultural background,’ and worked with the Garifuna people to reverse early stages of menopause.
She claimed that because she started taking the medicinal herbs she was recommended in Belize and kept up with her healthy lifestyle, she and Thedford were able to conceive their baby.

McGee is best known for her role of Angela Moore on Boy Meets World, which she joined in 1997 and appeared on through its seventh and final season in 2000; seen with Rider Strong in 1998

Additionally, McGee also said that living in a low-stress environment helped her reverse menopausal symptoms and get pregnant.
‘The number one thing for me is to not partake in any stress and stay away from negativity as much as I can, and that pertains to what I put on TV, what I look at on my phone, you know, there’s so much drama and violence and negativity out there as soon as you turn on the screen,’ she said.
‘I really wanted to be pointed when I turn on the screen — what I’m watching,’ she continued. ‘Because stress, for me, is the biggest factor.’
In her interview with the outlet, she also she is feeling hunger, nausea and exhaustion with her fourth pregnancy, but she is staying positive despite the side effects.
As for what she is feeling this time around, McGee said she was experiencing ‘just sheer joy.’
‘I don’t partake in any of the negativity anybody has to say about it,’ she continued. ‘I am so happy. I have been blessed, and that’s it.
‘And all I’m concerned about — I only have one job now — is to have this baby, and that’s what I’m about.’

Addressing her 96,000 followers, she added: ‘Please bless us with your prayers for a safe delivery. Thank you.’
In her caption, she said she was ‘gonna sign off social media for a bit.’

Well, funny enough, I did [talk to them] before I announced it,’ she said.
‘I happened to be on a…little business call with Danielle and we were all texting and I said, “By the way, you know, I’m pretty sure I’m pregnant,” and they were so kind and so happy.’
