Byron Bay influencer Ruby Tuesday Matthews has debuted a dramatic makeover after chopping off her trademark long locks. 

The mother-of-three, 30, shocked her followers on Monday when she took to Instagram with a close-up photo of her newly lopped-off locks sitting next to a pair of kitchen scissors. 

‘Home job’, she simply captioned the photo, sending her fans wild as they begged for photos of her new look. 

Ruby, who shot to fame in 2020 after she held up an entire Jetstar flight so she could dine on oysters at a fancy restaurant, waited until Tuesday to grant her followers’ wish by sharing a photo of herself with shoulder-length hair. 

Posing for a mirror selfie in a cropped white T-shirt, low-slung flared jeans and nineties style sunglasses, Ruby wrote: ‘Woke up channeling @haileybieber’ – a reference to Justin Bieber’s wife’s newly-cropped mane.

Her army of fans praised the TikTok star for her chic DIY ‘do, with one writing: ‘Looks soooooooooooooo good you were made for this hair’. 

‘You suit short hair so much!’ another added, while someone else joked: ‘You look more like Hailey than Hailey does’.

Posting to Instagram Stories, Ruby also shared a video of herself flaunting her new hair while modelling a tight black singlet and matching leggings.

‘We cut the hair off. This side is definitely shorter’, she mused gesturing to her home-job haircut. 

‘It is needing a fix up, but that is basically my whole life.’ 

Ruby proceeded to upload a black-and-white video showing herself haphazardly cutting off her hair in the bathroom after a shower. 

‘I then got a little snip happy and kept cutting’, she joked in the caption.
