The TV veteran, 63, is rumoured to be set to host a series called Do You Want To Live Forever? according to TV Blackbox.
The Channel Nine docuseries was announced at the network’s upfronts last September.
According to the industry site’s sources, Grimshaw will be announced as host at a media event in Melbourne on January 19.

It will also star Dr. Nick Coatsworth, who guides six Aussies on a powerful journey to stop the clock and turn back time.
Tracy stepped away from ACA in 2022 with former Today co-host Ally Langdon filling her seat from January last year.
Langdon revealed she was given priceless advice from Grimshaw, who helmed the show for 17 years.
‘I spoke to Trace a lot in the lead up to the host announcement being made and I remember a conversation we had as she was driving in ahead of her final show,’ she told The Herald Sun.

‘She said, ‘Just be yourself, Ally, and follow what you want to follow”.
Allison went on to say that Tracy advised her to know her audience.
‘She told me to listen to the ACA audience; they are smart, they know what they are talking about, but find your own way and be authentic,’ Allison explained.
Channel Nine confirmed in December, 2022 that Ally would abandon her co-hosting role at Today to replace outgoing Grimshaw.
60 Minutes reporter Sarah Abo stepped in to fill Ally’s spot alongside Karl Stefanovic as Today’s new co-host.
Ally shot down rumours of a ‘professional rivalry’ between herself and former colleague Stefanovic, describing him as being like a ‘brother’ to her.
She has since settled into her role at ACA, with viewers praising her compassionate approach to difficult stories.
