Lydia Bright has revealed that she’s had a New Year’s holiday from hell as she jetted off with her family to Tanzania to ring in 2026.
The TOWIE star, 34, took to her Instagram Stories to share that they had experienced flight delays, airport chaos, and even had their cash stolen.
Appearing in good spirits, Lydia first posted a selfie inside an aircraft with her sister Roma and her pal Lucy Burgess, donning facemasks and sipping a glass of red wine.
‘We out of here. Collagen masks and wine. The New Year prep has begun 35,000 feet in the air,’ she penned on top of the snap.
But after ’13 hours of hell’ later, it was a completely different story.
Posting a snap of the kids asleep in the car, Lydia, who is a single mum to five-year-old daughter Loretta Rose, said: ’13 hours of flying and one hell of a journey.’

The reality star then shared another Story detailing everything that had gone wrong on their travels to their holiday destination.
She wrote: ‘Our first flight was delayed, which meant sprinting through Doha to reach out next gate.
‘Despite reportedly asking, no buggies were arranged to help us between gates.
‘By the time we arrived at the gate, my mum and dad were sweating and poor Retta [her daughter Loretta] was struggling to breathe and we were frantically trying to find her an asthma pump.
‘When we eventually landed in Tanzania, we discovered our suitcases had been left behind in Doha.
‘No one had informed us so we waited at the baggage belt for hours, only to then miss our hotel transfer.’
Lydia continued: ‘With no clothes, toiletries or guidance we ended up travelling around the island trying to find essentials, clearly going to all the wrong places, as we’re now all still in tracksuits and trainers in 28-degree heat.
‘To top it all off, poor Roma had all her money stolen. Currently trying to work out next steps as nobody is contacting us.’

Pleading for help, Lydia added: ‘I would never normally post this but I am getting no clear response from @qatarairways when calling and nobody is replying to any DMs. DO BETTER. Easily the worst travel journey we’ve ever had…. things can only get better from here.’
In another snap, the star shared a snap of her feet in Doir sandals on the beach and penned: ‘When Qatar lose your suitcase… the collab you never knew you needed. Dior and Louis Vuitton – and yes my legs are already burnt still trying to find SPF.’
A few hours later, Lydia posed in a local football T-shirt with a cocktail in hand as she said: ‘My current NYE look. I’m sure my stylist would approve of this look.
‘My name’s Lydia and this isn’t my first drink.’
It comes after Lydia reflected on single-motherhood as she and daughter Loretta prepare to celebrate another Christmas ‘just for us two’.
The former TOWIE star, who co-parents the five-year-old with ex partner Lee Cronin from whom she split during her pregnancy, took to Instagram with a slew of festive throwback snaps.
The single star admitted while she had never pictured being a single mum her life with her daughter had turned out ‘more magical than she ever expected’.
Lydia looked stunning in the snaps as she went from pregnant to standing next to a school age Loretta for their annual Christmas trip to the lavish Roslin Beach Hotel at Southend on Sea.

She captioned the post: ‘Another Christmas with just us two. Not the way I once pictured life, but it turns out our story is more magical than I ever expected’.
‘I know it won’t be this forever, but I also know these will always be some of the most beautiful chapters of my life. Me and you, just us two. My greatest love story’.
Lydia shares Loretta with mechanic Lee, who she split from when she was 11 weeks pregnant – but now has a ‘great relationship’ with.
She said it is the ‘best thing’ that their daughter never saw them together but did reveal he was in the delivery room when she gave birth.
In 2023 she said on Kate Ferdinand’s Blended podcast: ‘Me and her dad have a great relationship now, we have had our ups and downs but we get on fine.
‘It’s the best thing that we aren’t together and it’s good Loretta has not experienced us together.’
