Tori Spelling celebrated the 33rd anniversary of Beverly Hills, 90210 by sharing her first-ever publicity shot as the character Donna Martin and revealing how the Fox teen drama ‘changed this teen girl’s life forever.’
‘I was 15 in this pic – before nose job, bleach, and knowing how to pose,’ the 50-year-old mother-of-five – who boasts 4.1M social media followers – wrote on Instagram.
‘I was just grateful to be there. I was the producer’s daughter and was hoping to just prove my own worth.’
Beverly Hills, 90210 was created by Darren Starr but it was executive produced by Tori’s powerful father Aaron Spelling, who owned the second largest mansion in LA dubbed ‘Spelling Manor’ with 14 bedrooms and 27 bathrooms.
The Texan-born titan reportedly hired an acting coach for his little girl at the tender age of six and went on to cast her in four of his TV shows – The Love Boat, T. J. Hooker, Hotel, and Fantasy Island.

Spelling did, however, clarify that she scored the role of Violet Ann Bickerstaff on NBC’s Saved By the Bell in 1990-1991 without any help from her daddy dearest.
‘Look at me 33 years later still pointing out that just [because] my dad was the producer on 90210 I still got other parts on my own by auditioning just like every other actor, LOL!’ the LA-born heiress wrote.

Tori went on to dub Donna ‘one of the world’s most iconic and beloved characters in TV hisTORI’ having struggled with dyslexia, drinking, attempted rape, a strict Catholic upbringing, and managed to maintain her virginity until college graduation.
Spelling impressively portrayed Donna Martin Silver for 10 seasons of the original Fox series (1990-2000), two episodes of The CW’s 90210 (2009), and Fox’s six-episode revival BH90210 (2019).

When Tori’s father passed away, at age 83, in 2006 she only received $800K inheritance from his $600M fortune because her mother Candy Spelling (who was the executor) disapproved of her notorious spending habits.

Spelling – who was mysteriously hospitalized for four days in August – is in the midst of divorcing her second husband Dean McDermott after 18 years of marriage.
Next Tuesday, The Masked Singer Spain contestant and the Canadian 56-year-old will celebrate the 12th birthday of their daughter Hattie Margaret McDermott.
Tori and Dean are also proud parents of 16-year-old son Liam, 15-year-old daughter Stella, 11-year-old son Finn, and six-year-old son Beau.
Spelling and McDermott were notoriously both married to other people when they originally met on the set of Lifetime’s Mind Over Murder way back in 2005.
