Tom Holland reveals he was carded and denied purchase of his own non-alcoholic beer

Tom Holland revealed he was denied purchase of his own non-alcoholic beer after his ID was not accepted.

The 28-year-old actor took his fans on a journey as he went to buy a case of Bero, a brand of premium non-alcoholic beer he founded last year, but struggled to do so.

In a series of Instagram Stories shared on Tuesday, he explained that he had gone to Target to buy a case of Bero.

In a turn of events, however, his ID was not accepted and he ‘couldn’t prove [his] age.’ 

‘So I haven’t been in the States for a while,’ he began in a self-taken video of himself walking through the parking lot. ‘And I’m gonna go visit some Bero on the shelves, out in the wild.’ 

After entering the superstore, the Uncharted star — who got matching tattoos with his now-fiancée Zendaya before he proposed to her — filmed and posted another clip.

‘This is the second Target I’ve been to because the last one I went to actuallly didn’t have it,’ he confessed before adding that admission is ‘not the best marketing.’

After finding ‘no luck’ at the second Target location, he ventured to another. 

‘The hunt continues,’ he said. ‘I will find some today.’ 

At a third location, he finally found a Bero display but encountered a different challenge when trying to purchase a case. 

‘This is a bigger Target, so I feel more hopeful,’ he said at the beginning of the video. 

He then shared a final video from the parking lot as he explained how he almost had to leave Target again without a case of Bero. 

‘OK, so success, I found some. I bought it,’ he said as he showed off a case of his premium, non-alcoholic beer. 

‘They wouldn’t accept my ID because it’s English and I couldn’t prove my age, so a really lovely employee, I guess, scanned their ID,’ the British actor laughed.
