Tom Holland proves himself to be a real life superhero after the Spiderman  star broke up a fight at LA supermarket – leaving onlookers stunned

As Spiderman he is used to fighting crime on the big screen, but for Tom Holland his work isn’t over when the cameras stop rolling.

The British actor, 28, was forced to intervene when a fight broke out while shopping at a Whole Foods store in Los Angeles recently.

Mr Holland recalled two men were ‘going at it, right behind me’ and he jumped into action and grabbed one of the assailants.

As the star led him away, the shocked brawler found himself face-to-face with the real life Spiderman.

Mr Holland told Men’s Health magazine: ‘I can see that he’s recognised me immediately, and you could see the wheels turning, like, I’m really angry, but Spider-Man is telling me to calm down.’

When the Uncharted actor is not fighting crime in LA, he lives with his girlfriend Zendaya in their £3million home in London’s leafy Richmond. The pair have dated since 2021 and own two dogs.

Despite being one half of Tinseltown’s most famous couples, the English star, who has played the arachnid superhero since 2016, has vowed that he will ‘disappear’ from the spotlight once he has a family of his own.

He said: ‘When I have kids, you will not see me in movies anymore. Golf and dad – and I will just disappear off the face of the earth.’

The actor met his American girlfriend on the set of Spiderman, but despite their shared profession they are rarely pictured together on the red carpet.

Mr Holland always attends Zendaya’s premieres, but he doesn’t typically walk the carpet with her ‘because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us.’

With Tom confirmed to return in a fourth Spider-Man movie from Marvel Studios, rumours have started surfacing that Andrew Garfield may join him.

Garfield, 41, played Peter Parker in 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man and the 2014 sequel The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

He also joined his predecessor Tobey Maguire and Holland in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, which explained that both Maguire and Garfield’s versions of Peter Parker exist in different planets of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s multiverse.

Now that the link between all of the Spider-Man franchise has been established, fans have been wondering if they may return in this upcoming sequel.

During an extensive cover story interview with GQ, Garfield did his best to quell the rumours of his return.

However, he’s well aware that most may not believe him… since he did in fact lie about returning for No Way Home for years before the film’s release.

‘I’m gonna disappoint you. Yeah, no. But I know no one’s gonna trust anything I say from now on,’ he said.

Still, the actor would not be averse to returning to a big superhero or a similar studio franchise in the future.

‘If it felt in line with my soul and was gonna be fun. Maybe I’m gonna have like five kids at some point, and I’m gonna need to start saving up for the school tuition or something,’ Garfield joked.

He also denied a rumor that he was going to play Jesus in a Martin Scorsese film, adding, ‘There was a rumour. It’s not true to my knowledge.’

‘I like working as well. You can’t just keep waiting for Scorsese to call, ’cause he makes a movie every three years and a lot of the time Leo DiCaprio is in it,’ he admitted.

Garfield admitted back in October that he was ‘really scared’ about all of the attention he got after lading the Peter Parker/Spider-Man role.

He decided to counter his fame by making some rather drastic changes in his life, including his appearance.

‘With all the Spider-Man stuff, I kind of had this allergic response. I was like like, “I know I’m not ready for this, in a way. I know I’m not ready for this level of scrutiny,”‘ he admitted.

‘So I’m gonna grow a really horrible beard, and I’m gonna wear really f***ed up clothes, and I’m gonna chase down paparazzi and try and talk to them,’ he said.

He even admitted to asking some of the photographers, ‘Why are you doing this?’ during their encounters.

Garfield returned to the big screen after a three-year hiatus last year with his critically-acclaimed film We Live In Time with Florence Pugh.

He also has Luca Guadagnino’s After The Hunt in post-production, starring alongside Julia Roberts and Ayo Edibiri.
