Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton exude elegance and romance at the 2024 Emmy Awards

Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton looked as loved-up as ever as they stepped out at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards on Monday evening.

The actor, 42, and the Fresh Meat star, 39, sweetly held hands as they joined the A-list guests at the very glitzy affair, held at the Peacock Theater.

Tom cut a dapper figure in dark trousers and a matching blazer with satin lapels, which he styled with a white shirt and a silver tie.

He completed his look with a pair of suave suit shoes and laughed as he posed hand-in-hand with his fiancée Zawe, who he secretly welcomed his first child with in 2022.

Zawe made sure to capture attention in an eye-catching yellow dress embellished with silver jewels and beads around the neckline.

She let her outfit do all the talking as she simply accessorised with understated silver droplet earrings and a chunky ring.

The couple generally keep their romance relatively low-key but have been spotted at an array of star-studded events in recent days.

They looked loved-up at the Critics Choice Awards on Sunday, where Tom had been up for Best Actor in a Drama Series – which ended up going to Kieran Culkin for his role as Roman Roy in Succession.

Succession is leading the nominations at this year’s Emmy Awards as it is up for 27 awards, followed closely behind by the likes of The Last Of Us and The White Lotus.

Speaking in July, Zawe made a rare comment about her private relationship with  Tom by revealing the ’empowering’ career advice he gave her.

The actress admitted she was unsure about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe before Tom – whose role as Loki has cemented his place in the franchise – offered his ‘incredible’ advice on her role as Dar-Benn in film The Marvels.

She told Entertainment Weekly: ‘One of the main takeaways from our conversations was: “What you put into Marvel, you get back.”

‘He said, “If you go into this with an open heart and a great work ethic and just want to provide an amazing experience for the fans, you’ll have an amazing experience on those sets.” He really empowered me in that way.’

Tom and Zawe first met in 2019 when they played husband and wife in a revival of Harold Pinter’s Betrayal.

It was reported the couple had moved in together in Atlanta, Georgia in 2020 and they confirmed their romance during a PDA-filled holiday to Ibiza in September 2021.

Tom and Zawe then made their red carpet debut together at the 2021 Tony Awards in New York City.

The couple set tongues wagging about a possible engagement when they appeared at the BAFTAs in 2022, where Zawe was pictured wearing a huge diamond sparkler on her ring finger.

In June that year, Tom confirmed he was set to wed his actress fiancée, but kept tight-lipped about the romance, simply telling the LA Times: ‘I’m very happy.’

It was then reported in October 2022 that Tom and Zawe had secretly welcomed their first child together, and they have kept the name and sex of their child private.
