Tom Hanks used Instagram to pay tribute to longtime wife Rita Wilson on Sunday.
The 69-year-old Forrest Gump star shared a swimsuit-clad snapshot of Rita as he wished her a happy 69th birthday.
Rita wore a low-cut black bathing suit with thin roped straps while dripping wet and flashing her megawatt smile in the close-up image.
Tom, who married the singer in 1988, wrote in the caption, ‘This beautiful woman celebrates her birthday TODAY. She is beloved by her husband. Happy Birthday.’Â
He soundtracked the post to Rita’s 2025 song W.O.W. (Wild Ol’ Woman).Â
The couple celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary on April 30.

To mark the special occasion, Rita shared a photo of them smiling against a scenic, lush green backdrop and wrote, ‘Happy 37th Anniversary my love!!!’
And on July 9 Rita shared a single photos of her husband with the caption, ‘Happy Birthday, my love’Â
In their nearly four-decade marriage the husband and wife raised two sons, Chet Hanks, 35, and Truman Hanks, 29.
The pair met back in 1981 while co-starring on a show called Bosom Buddies.
At the time Tom was still married to his first wife, Samantha Lewes, whom he was with from 1978-1987.
They share a son and daughter, Colin Hanks, 47, and Elizabeth Hanks, 43.
In June the Academy Award winner broke his silence on his daughter’s bombshell memoir detailing her troubled childhood.
The actor opened up about the book, The 10: A Memoir of Family and the Open Road, during a red carpet premiere for his new film The Phoenician Scheme.

Elizabeth’s book goes into detail on the troubles between her dad and mother, the late actress Samantha Lewes, who died in 2002 after a battle with cancer.
He praised her for being candid about a dark time in her life and noted he was not shocked by her strength.
‘I’m not surprised that my daughter had the wherewithal as well as the curiosity… in order to examine this thing that I think she was incredibly honest about,’ the Toy Story star told Access Hollywood.
He went on to say that his daughter has been ‘very open about what the process is’ in regards to the book.
The memoir was released in April and examines Elizabeth’s life growing up with two Hollywood icons.
