McFly frontman Tom Fletcher and his wife, Giovanna, have another star in the family as their son Buzz, 10, has stepped into the limelight.
Buzz made his West End debut in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express over the weekend, taking on a regular role in the iconic musical.
Proud mum Giovanna, 39, took to Instagram to celebrate her son’s first big break sharing a sweet video of him skipping along to the theatre with his script in hand.
She then shared snippets of her eldest son on stage in his costume, dancing and singing along to the packed out crowd.
The podcaster and I’m A Celebrity winner wrote: ‘We’ve been keeping this quiet for a little while but tonight was race night and our brilliant Buzz had his debut performance as Control in the incredible Starlight Express.
‘I can’t even begin to describe the overwhelming pride (and nerves!) watching him run out onto that stage and deliver those opening lines and then give the most amazing performance. It was total magic and a memory for us all that will never be forgotten!

It comes after Giovanna who has been married to her childhood sweetheart Tom for 12 years revealed they fell out when co-authoring their teen fiction series together because she took the storyline ‘too far’.
In 2018 the pair, who are both established authors, announced they were writing a trilogy of dystopian novels together titled The Eve of Man and published the final book in 2021.
Reflecting on their time writing together, Giovanna said: ‘There were creative differences at times. There was one point where I’d done something quite drastic, one of the characters had done something quite brutal and Tom said: ‘It’s too far. You’ve taken it a bit too far.’
‘I was probably a bit snappy about it. I was like, fine, I’ll rewrite it so I took it out. Two chapters later, his character’s only gone and done that. So I was like, what? In the end, the editor took it out anyway.’

The pair met when they were 13 but he dumped her two days later and revealed it took years of ‘grovelling’ to win her back, however it worked as they now share Buzz, 10, Buddy, eight, and Max, six
The pair met when they were 13 at the Sylvia Young Theatre School and within days of laying eyes on her, Tom asked Giovanna out.
But in the summer he revealed he dumped her two days later and it took years of ‘grovelling’ to win her back.
Speaking about their emotional proposal in 2011, Giovanna told Auto Trader’s Show on the Road podcast: ‘McFly were filming a documentary for Channel 5. It was McFly on the Wall and Tom had messaged me one day and said, as a part of it, they want us to go back to all of our old schools but seeing as you and I went there together, they were wondering if you wanted to come with me… I was like, yeah, great. What a lovely idea. So I went along and not one part of me thought it was going to be a proposal, like not one part.
‘I can remember I got to the school and I think he texted me saying, go around to the back door.

‘I opened it and I could instantly see candles and petals. So I just shut the door. I was like, Oh my God, what’s going on?
‘I walked in and there were candles everywhere, rose petals scattered amongst all the dust, it was the most beautiful thing ever. And then Tom stood in what would have been Studio One where I met Tom on my first day at Sylvia’s and he’d gone to the spot where we met and it was all set up so that he proposed in Studio One, in the spot where we first met.’
The Eve of Man is told in first person, Giovanna writes for the character, Eve, and Tom pens her unconventional love interest, Bram.
Tom’s children’s book The Christmasaurus has sold over 2.5million copies in the UK and is currently being developed by The Greatest Showman director into a feature-length movie with songs written by the Busted singer.
