Today show star Taylor Haynes was left slightly red-faced on Thursday when she was asked out on a date live on air by a popular reality star.
Taylor was delivering the weather when host Alison Piotrowski brought up a ‘spark-filled’ interaction she had on Wednesday with Below Deck star Jamie Sayed.
‘I wanted to jump in because, as I declared earlier, my New Year’s resolution is to manifest love for others,’ Alison said.
‘All of us here at the desk yesterday noticed that when you were on that beautiful luxury yacht having a wonderful time.Â
‘There was a very handsome bosun who was on board. There was just a bit of energy.’
Wanting to play matchmaker, Alison then introduced Jamie into the chat and co-host Nick Coatsworth asked Jamie if he got up to any mischief the night before.

The cheeky sailor then said his main plan for mischief was to ‘smuggle’ Taylor on board the yacht.
‘I wish I could’ve got up to more mischief… I invited Taylor on board… we would’ve brought her on as a stowaway, but she didn’t take up the offer unfortunately,’ Jamie teased.
Taylor protested with: ‘Hey, I’ve got work this morning, I wanted to be responsible.’
Nick then put on his cupid hat, asking Jamie if he was interested in seizing the moment.Â
‘That was 2025, it’s now 2026. You’ve got lots of opportunity, you could even use the opportunity on camera now perhaps,’ he said before Alison jumped in with: ‘Anything you’d like to say to Taylor?’
Frustratingly, Jamie’s audio cut out at the exact moment he began to speak, prompting the hosts to have him repeat himself.
‘I was just saying, I might as well ask Taylor if she’d like to go out for a drink sometime before I head back out to Bali,’ Jamie asked, eliciting a chorus of ‘oohs and ahhs’ from the panel.
As everyone waited with bated breath for her answer, Taylor sheepishly replied: ‘My mum and dad are watching right now.’
After a flirty exchange between the pair on Wednesday, Jamie was invited back on the show where he promptly asked Taylor out for a drink

When the panel offered their seal of approval over the potential pairing, Taylor tentatively agreed, but not before offering a quip that was sure to make mum and dad blush.

Alison replied: ‘I mean, you can if you want, Tay, but probably not at this time of the morning.’Â
Both Nick and Alison were quick to praise the potential couple for their ability to conceal their embarrassment.
‘Well both of these young people are doing very well not to go bright red. I’m going red,’ Nick said.
With her flub behind her, Taylor then admitted that she was keen to take Jamie up on his offer.
‘Jamie, I’d love to. It would be my honour – it would be rude not to,’ she said.Â
He suavely replied: ‘Let’s make it happen.’
‘We will be live from Jamie’s yacht tomorrow,’ Taylor cheekily quipped.
