The Today breakfast show hosts shocked viewers on Wednesday when they mocked a woman passing by one of their reporters on the Gold Coast.
Reporter Mia Glover pointed and laughed at the passerby over her attire during her morning live cross with the Sydney studio.
Co-anchors Karl Stefanovic and Sarah Abo burst into laughter back in the studio, and said the woman’s outfit made her look like she was in a Hitchcock film.
‘Looks like they’re all extras on a set doesn’t it, on the Gold Coast,’ Karl, 49, said, as he watched the early risers taking a stroll behind Mia on the camera.
As Mia laughed at the joke, Karl went on to say it was like she was ‘at Movie World’.

It was at this point the television presenter caught sight of a woman approaching while holding a black umbrella to protect her face from the sun.
Seemingly out for a casual stroll, she hid her eyes behind a pair of dark sunglasses and protected her face from the light with the brolly.
She added to the look in a long black skirt and red button-up shirt.

‘There we go, there’s the umbrella lady. Alfred Hitchcock there,’ he said, referencing the famous film director who was renowned for his moody films.
When Mia noticed the woman walking up behind her, the reporter pointed and doubled over with laughter.
‘Pointing at her. Don’t shame her,’ co-anchor Sarah, 37, said as the cameraman followed the woman while she moved past a laughing Mia.
Meanwhile, co-anchors Karl Stefanovic and Sarah Abo burst into laughter back in the studio, and said the woman’s attire made her look like she was in a Hitchcock film
‘That’s terrible,’ Karl said, despite being in tears over the joke.
‘[Mia] is a funny woman,’ he added, as his colleague then pretended to creep up behind the passerby.
The woman made no comment or indication she heard Mia mocking her.
