Timothée Chalamet Hints at Kids Amid Kylie Jenner Romance, Reflects on Fame and Therapy

With a rapidly developing Hollywood career, a billionaire girlfriend and the talent to achieve whatever he sets his mind to, one could forgive Timothée Chalamet for living in what appears to be a very optimistic moment.

But the actor admits he’s already looking to the future and the possibility of parenthood after watching his older sister Pauline welcome her first child, a baby girl, with director partner Rhys Raiskin in 2024.

Currently involved in a long-term relationship with cosmetics mogul Kylie Jenner, Chalamet, 29, has also seen some of his closest friends within the acting community – notably Dune co-stars Zendaya and Anya Taylor-Joy – begin new, adult chapters with their respective partners.

‘Zendaya is engaged. Anya is married,’ he told December edition of Vogue, while acknowledging the prospect of settling gown and starting a family in the near future.

‘That could be on the radar,’ he added.

He does however draw the line at discussing his ongoing two year relationship with Jenner, a constant cheerleader as the actor’s career goes from strength to strength.

‘And I don’t say that with any fear, I just don’t have anything to say,’ he said.

The couple have been a regular fixture at Hollywood award shows and sitting courtside for New York Knicks games at Yankee Stadium.

But in recent months, the couple has sparked breakup rumors after going weeks without being seen together.

Chalamet spent most of the summer living in Hungary while filming the third installment of the science-fiction franchise Dune.

Meanwhile, Jenner stayed home in Los Angeles, where she lives with her two children from a former relationship with rapper Travis Scott – Stormi, seven, and Aire, three.

Chalamet rapidly rose to prominence after starring in director Luca Guadagnino’s screen adaptation of Call Me By Your Name, a box office hit following its release in 2017.

Bigger roles would draw attention to his undeniable versatility, among them the brooding Paul Atreides in Denis Villeneuve’s hugely successful Dune franchise, Willy Wonka in Charlie And The Chocolate Factory prequel Wonka and, perhaps the most challenging of all, enigmatic folk legend Bob Dylan in 2024 release A Complete Unknown.

But the actor admits his meteoric rise had a detrimental effect on his mental health as he adjusted to life in the spotlight.

‘The experience of getting famous the way I did and the rocket ship of it was destabilising,’ he said.

‘I feel like I made it to the other side of not some tragic, f**ked-up chemical thing, but just the challenges and a lot of the mental health stuff that comes with being a talented artist.’

Chalamet initially used therapy as a means of channeling his emotions, but the demands of his job – the actor is currently promoting new film Marty Supreme – has forced him to take a temporary leave of absence from sessions, with the blessing of his “very generous therapist.”

‘I’m so f**king locked in now’ Chalamet said of his workload. ‘I’m literally actively falling in love with this newfound creative structure, this discipline that I’ve only accrued through experience.’

And he has the confidence to match, with Chalamet admitting he is yet to experience the  “fever pitch of self-terror” he has seen in other, less self-assured actors.

‘That’s never been who I am,’ he said. ‘My superpower is my fearlessness. That’s the feedback I’ve gotten since I was a kid.’

Vogue’s December 2025 issue is available on newsstands nationwide on November 18th.
