Timothée and Kylie: Engagement Rumors Heat Up!

When started dating , he committed the unthinkable.

His fans - or 'Chalamaniacs' - fell into a spiral, adamant that Jenner would be the and the cause of a premature end to his career.

The most ardent of these critics was , the 59-year-old woman behind the , who long ago voiced her 'pain and heartache' at the relationship before going on to ruthlessly remove Jenner from images, and refuse to refer to her by name.

But it was ultimately Cromer who 'split' from Chalamet, not Jenner - and far from trouble, we can reveal, the A-list couple are said to be seriously talking children and marriage.

On Saturday, Cromer announced she was done with the Dune star, 30, hinting that him becoming increasingly more public with Jenner, 28, at awards shows was behind her decision to disband the fandom and instead turn her attention to , 26.

'To deny the obvious is to be obtuse and bury your head in the sand,' she wrote on Instagram. 'This fan community is not the same as it was four years ago. The notable shift was exactly 12 months ago, and the clock started to tick. Basically, so much has changed from what we all initially signed up for that it doesn't resemble what lured us here in the first place.'

The last time she gave up on an obsession was coincidentally around the time Michael Fassbender, 49, married Alicia Vikander, 37. The pair exchanged vows at the La Granja farmstead resort in Ibiza, Spain, in front of close family and friends in 2017.

Before that Cromer had been his biggest 'stan' for a decade, frequently tweeting about the actor and running the now defunct 'Fascinating Fassbender' blog.

But she bid adieu in November 2018 to focus on Chalamet, who was at the cusp of his stratospheric rise having been lauded for his turn in Call Me By Your Name the previous year.

So, is Cromer's dismissal of her once beloved Chalamet a sign that he is preparing to marry the savvy beauty mogul?

'Kylie's entire family loves Timothée,' one insider told the Daily Mail. 'He calls them his second family. When he's in LA he and Kylie live together in her Hidden Hills home and he is very involved with her children, Stormi and Aire. Kylie told him there's no one else she'd consider having another child with.'

But Jenner is said to be in no rush to say, 'I do.'

'Timothée has talked proposing to Kylie, but she doesn't want to get married, at least not yet. She told him when couples get married things usually start to go downhill. He's been seeking advice from her mom Kris [Jenner] and sister Kendall [Jenner] about how he can get her to change her mind.'

Afterall, her family doesn't have the best track record with marriage, tallying up more divorces than stable unions over the years.

Her mother, or 'momager,' Kris split from her father Kaitlyn Jenner in 2015 after 24 years of marriage. Jenner's half-sister Khloe Kardashian had a short-lived marriage to Lamar Odom, while Kim Kardashian has had a succession of failed marriages: first Damon Thomas from 2000-2004, then Kris Humphries from 2011-2013 and lastly Kanye West from 2014-2022. Jenner's brother Brandon is currently on his second wife, Cayley Stoker, having previously been married to Lean Felder for seven years until their divorce in 2019.

Chalamet and Jenner, who has two children with her ex-Travis Scott, were fiercely private about their relationship for months before going public.

They met in January 2023 at a Jean Paul Gaultier fashion show during Paris Couture Week. Come April, there was fevered speculation aplenty, with gossip sites claiming they were casually dating. 

After stealthy attempts to fly under the radar they finally went public at a Beyoncé concert in the September that year before packing on PDA at the US Open. Soon followed appearances as they supported each other at events before making their Golden Globes debut as a couple in January 2024.

Jenner became a regular fixture at ceremonies and red carpets, with the couple starting to tentatively address their relationship in interviews before becoming more bold with their PDA. Chalamet even proclaimed his love for the reality star at the Critics' Choice Awards in January.

It was during this year's awards season that engagement talk started swirling after a viral video appeared to show Ariana Grande asking the couple: 'Oh my God, are you guys engaged?'

And later when Chalamet was asked during an interview if he has a girlfriend and if he will ever get married, he coyly replied, 'You're going to get me in trouble, man,' before adding: 'Yes. Yes.'

The apparent admission was no doubt a sucker punch for Cromer who has spent close to a decade championing the Wonka star and traveling to events to meet him. 

Cromer, a self-described 'film critic,' first became a fan of Chalamet in 2017 after she watched Luca Guadagnino's adaptation of Call Me By Your Name. That December, she shared her first post about the young star to her personal Instagram account, in which she revealed that she had made the star her desktop background.

The following year she set up Club Chalamet as a forum to create a space 'where like-minded fans can engage with other older and mature fans to discuss Timmy and his career.' It spawned accounts on Instagram and X, as well as TikTok and YouTube channels which are now defunct – much like her love for the French-American actor.

It is hard to ignore the parallels with her rejection of Fassbender in 2018.

'The Fassy purge begins today,' she wrote on Twitter, now X, at the time. 'It was fun in the past (2008-2018), with a lot of heartache from personal attacks, but my participation in the Michael Fassbender fandom prepared me for my current community manager/social media influencer hobby interests for @RealChalamet now.'

So tired was she of Fassbender - or perhaps bitter that he was married - she set about discarding of a decade of memorabilia, claiming he had become so irrelevant that he would be 'lucky if he's C-List now.' 'Was thinking of e-bay, but not worth the time,' she added.

Although she did write a review of his film The Killer in 2023, claiming she was 'glad Fassy is back.'
