Dimas filed for divorce against Commerford in late Novemer 2018, with the bassist confirming the split in a statement.
‘After 17 years of marriage to Aleece Dimas, I am saddened to announce our divorce,’ the bassist’s statement began.
‘This decision was made after much careful thought and consideration. I want to send my deepest appreciation to my family and friends who have supported us through these changes,’ he added.
‘We remain committed and loving parents to our two boys. Our family asks in advance for your kindness and sensitivity at this difficult time,’ he concluded.
Just days after the split was announced, Commerfored requested and was granted a restraining order from Dimas after she allegedly attacked him.
He filed for, and was later granted, a domestic violence prevention restraining order, which stated she must stay 100 yards away from Tim and any venue where his band is booked to play or rehearse.
The order also prohibited Aleece from disparaging the bassist in front of their children and to not interfere with their visitation.

Court documents claimed that Aleece showed up ‘uninvited and unannounced’ to a home he was staying at.
She somehow gained access to a Porsche on the property and used it to ram the garage door to try and illegally gain access to the residence.
The bassist claimed she got into the house and ‘screamed’ before she, ‘viciously assaulted’ him with her iPhone and fists that caused severe injuries to his face and body.
The report added that Aleece then proceeded to attack the residence’s owner but she fled the scene when police arrived, and was later arrested at her home.
