She completed her look with matching chocolate brown heels as she stepped out for the big event.

Haddish’s casting wasn’t officially announced before production started, like many casting moves, though fans first spotted her in a trailer.

Her character name has yet to be revealed, leaving fans speculating on how her mystery role may tie into the story.

It’s possible she could be either a relative or perhaps a new romantic interest for Will Smith’s Mike Lowrey or Martin Lawrence’s Marcus Burnett.

While she did hit the red carpet, she has not said anything publicly about her character at this time.

Haddish was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, though she revealed on an episode of SHE MD podcast, she said she didn’t see much of a future for her.

‘(There was) so much devastation around me’ that she ‘didn’t think I would make it. I didn’t even think I would make it to 21,’ she admitted.

‘I thought I would die before I was 21, because people were getting shot around me,’ she continued.

‘I had been to so many funerals,’ she said. ‘So many of my friends were getting killed. It was so much devastation around me that I just … I didn’t think I would make it.’

However, in spite of that foreboding feeling, she said she still wanted to become an entertainer and make a positive difference in the world.

‘Even as I got older and I felt like my world was being taken and pulled apart and ripped up and shredded and I was getting beat up physically, emotionally, mentally, all these things, I was still like, “I just want to bring joy.”‘

She added that she always dreamed of achieving now, chosen profession and binge-watched talent competition shows, like Star Search, as a young child.

‘Everything I saw on Star Search, I tried to do,’ she recalled. ‘I wanted to be on Star Search so bad.
