Tiffany Haddish on Monday joked about the opulence of the Beverly Hills Jail, about a month after she was arrested in the luxe city in her second DUI in as many years.
Haddish, 44, was arrested early hours of November 24 in Beverly Hills, California in connection with DUI when officers found her sleeping in her automobile with the engine running, which was parked on the busy Beverly Drive at the time.
The Emmy-winning actress-comedian took to the stage for a Christmas set at The Laugh Factory in Los Angeles, appearing at a benefit in which people in need were provided with meals, and toys for their children.
The Afterparty star was clad in a festive Mrs. Santa Claus-inspired ensemble as she spoke to the crowd about her time in jail following the arrest, in a clip published by TMZ.
‘Girl, I know I’m gonna be all right, I’ve been through way worse than this – I’m sorry, but you ain’t lived till you got arrested in Beverly Hills, OK?’ she said. ‘It’s beautiful over there. I’ve been in quite a few jails – just like the rest of y’all – I can tell some of y’all been to jail, I still smell jail.’

Haddish joked, ‘If you’re gonna do something, I say get arrested over there cause that jail is nice … that jail was nice – it’s so clean!
Haddish said that she ‘had already ate four times’ on Thanksgiving ahead of her arrest, so she ‘didn’t even have to eat,’ but authorities offered her ‘juice and stuff.’
Haddish said, ‘I was like, “Oh this is nice,” adding that her menstrual cycle had started while she was in custody.
‘I’m bleeding in the jail, OK cool … but they had the best maxi pads,’ Haddish said. ‘I’ve never seen pads so big.’
Haddish joked that the maxi pads distributed were big enough to be used as pillows.
‘I was comfortable, it was nice,’ she said. ‘They gave me one of those fleece blankets that you get in like first grade to take a nap on and I did that, I took a nap.
‘It was beautiful – wonderful experience!’
Haddish on December 20 entered a not guilty plea to two counts of ‘driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a .08% BAC,’ TMZ reported.

Haddish was previously taken into custody in January 14, 2022 in Peachtree City, Georgia after officers found her sleeping behind the wheel of her car.
Haddish was arrested in connection with DUI and improper stopping on a roadway, as authorities believed she was under the influence of marijuana.
In court docs reviewed by TMZ last month, Georgia state prosecutors said they ‘want a court there to modify the bond conditions’ the Girls Trip star received in her 2022 arrest to prohibit her from using any drugs or alcohol, with weekly testing for both.
The Like a Boss star is full of ‘regret’ after her arrest on suspicion of DUI charges, and is keen to shut down any suggestion she has an alcohol problem, according to insiders.
Haddish, who is relieved that no one was hurt by her ‘mistake’, is reportedly conscious of being defined by the incident.
‘Tiffany regrets that she is in the news for being arrested, but is grateful that nobody got hurt,’ a source told DailyMail.com exclusively. ‘She is going to tackle it all head-on and get the right lawyers.
‘She doesn’t want this to define her or have people think she needs help. She made a mistake, and it is not because she has an alcohol problem. It was just a bad thing that she got herself into and she is working on moving on from it.’
The insider added: ‘She’s looking forward to getting back to work and heading into the new year with the outlook of finding new love and new film and TV opportunities.’

In her arrest last month, Beverly Hills police officers received a call at 5:45 AM about a person ‘slumped over the wheel while the car was running,’ according to TMZ. The vehicle was located in the middle of the busy Beverly Drive, which is lined with stores including Pottery Barn and Sephora.
In a video obtained by the outlet, the actress and comedian can be seen with her hands cuffed behind her back as she is escorted to a patrol car. The arrest was said to be ‘peaceful’ with no resistance.
The arrest came hours after she performed a stand-up set at The Laugh Factory on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood for the club’s 43rd annual free Thanksgiving feast for the community. The Laugh Factory is about a 15-minute drive from Beverly Hills.
Pictures from the November 23 event showed Haddish on stage wearing a floral top similar to the one she was wearing at the time of her arrest. She acknowledged the incident 24 hours later during another set at The Laugh Factory.
Responding to an audience member who asked ‘what happened,’ she said: ‘I prayed to God to send me a man with a job. A career. Preferably in a uniform. God answered my prayers.’
In January 2022, when she was arrested under a similar circumstance in Georgia, she made a similar joke while discussing the incident with Jimmy Fallon.
She addressed the arrest days later during an appearance on The Tonight Show, telling host Fallon: ‘I can say this, Jimmy … I’ve been praying to God to send me a new man. A good man. And God went ahead and sent me four. In uniform.’
She continued: ‘And now I got a really great lawyer, and we’re going to work it out. I’ve got to get my asking of things to God a little better!’
