Thomas Rhett and Lauren Are Expecting Baby #5: “Here We Go Again!”

Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren Gregory Akins always planned on having five children, and they revealed their dream officially came true on Tuesday.

‘Here we go again!’ the 35-year-old country crooner – who boasts 7.8M social media followers – captioned their baby news.

‘We’ve got some really excited big sisters in our house. God is so good.’

However, Thomas and the expecting 35-year-old did not reveal a due date for the future baby sibling for their four daughters – Willa Gray, 9; Ada James, 8; Lennon Love, 5; and Lillie Carolina, 3.

‘Well, I was wrapping my head around being a dad. Big wrench got thrown in the plans that we thought we had,’ Rhett (last name Akins) sang on guitar.

‘Now Lauren’s showing — got one on the way. That’s five under 10. Hey what can I say? Yeah life changes. You wake up ain’t nothing the same. Yeah life changes.’

Lauren proudly held up the sonogram images of their little one, whom many in the comments hoped would be a boy.

The five-time Grammy nominee originally met Gregory in the first grade before they started dating in middle school, and they’ll impressively celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary on October 12.

It’s been a year since the Love One International board member confessed how much she used to ‘resent’ Thomas for his successful music career since she never got to become a full-time RN after graduating from nursing school.

‘Three months to the day that [our adopted daughter Willa] came home [from Uganda], I went into the hospital to deliver Ada James. It kind of felt like we went 0 to 2 pretty quick as parents. And I began touring with my husband and I was running myself ragged and just chasing him all over the place, trying to make it feel like it used to,’ Lauren recalled on I Am Second.

‘His life went on and I felt like mine stopped and I felt like we weren’t doing it together anymore. And there’s a lot of miscommunication. There was a lot of resentment I was holding on to. I think even through the adoption and after. And I just hit a breaking point where I didn’t like him and I resented him.’

Gregory continued: ‘I remember looking at him in the closet, and after we had just

screamed at each other. I said, “I hate you, I hate you, and I feel alone and I feel lost and I hate your career and I hate the pressure that it puts on us. And I hate that we’ve brought two little girls in this.”‘

The devout Christian couple’s marriage recovered after they participated in a ‘mini-intensive counseling session for two and a half days.’

‘[Fatherhood] has changed my life. It’s chaos, but it’s beautiful chaos,’ Rhett told People last year.

‘There are days where it’s like, “Good Lord, at what time are we going to bed?” But I think as they’re getting older, it’s been the biggest blessing in my life.’

The After All The Bars Are Closed singer continued: ‘My girls have taught me so much patience and how to love better. They have softened my heart in so many ways. I love my girls more than anything in the world.’

Georgia-born Thomas is next scheduled to headline Jacks Bash 3 held at Dana J Dykhouse Stadium in Brookings, SD this Thursday alongside Blake Shelton, Ty Myers, and DJ Blake Horstmann.

Rhett certainly got a leg-up in his career thanks to being the nepo baby of Grammy-nominated country crooner, Rhett Akins.
