This Morning fans were left swooning over Laila Rouass’ ageless appearance on Thursday, branding the star beautiful.
The actress, 53, joined Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle on the ITV show to discuss her new role as Ayesha on EastEnders, with the character having history with Nish and Suki Panesar.
But talk soon turned to Laila’s iconic role on legendary series Footballer’s Wives, with the hosts remarking that she’d barely aged a day since portraying WAG Amber Gates.
Gushing over her youthful appearance, Josie quipped that Laila looked exactly the same since she starred on the drama 20 years ago, nothing: ‘You don’t look any different! I turned around and just thought, God you look exactly the same!
While Craig shared: ‘You haven’t changed a bit!’

And it appeared that viewers were in agreement as they soon took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to fawn over the actress.
They shared: ‘She’s beautiful; love lailarouass; Ronnie O’Sullivan is a very lucky man; Beautiful lady.’
Laila starred as Amber Gates, the over-the-top wife of footballer Conrad from series three in 2004 until its end, featuring in several outlandish storylines.
Speaking on her time on the show, Laila shared: ‘It’s completely outrageous so much fun. My character was absolutely mental! I was a complete bunny boiler!’
Meanwhile, the TV personality opened up on her role in EastEnders, having made her debut in recent scenes.
Laila told how she was overwhelmed as she arrived on the set, having been a fan of the soap since she was a child.
She explained: ‘I’m an East ender. So I remember the first scene in EastEnders, I used to live next to a place called Arbor Square, I wanted to be on EastEnders. It has always been on my bucket list.
‘I remember I was doing a scene on the Square. As we drove in and parked, I was like “you should have told me we’re on the Square! I need to prepare myself” It’s the Queen Vic, the launderette, everything – it’s iconic!

o weird because I’ve done films with big names, I auditioned with Hugh Jackman for Wolverine. No one cares. It’s all about Phil Mitchell and Lacey Turner. I’m not bothered about the Hollywood sets, this is where it’s at.’
Meanwhile, talking about what’s to come with her character, she said: ‘The thing with Ayesha, she’s smart, intelligent and independent. She’s really kind aswell.
‘EastEnders is much like Footballer’s Wives, you just never know, is she who she says she is? Anything could happen! They give you the freedom to develop your character. You get time to talk about your character.’
Last month, it was announced Laila was joining the cast of EastEnders – after it emerged she was left ‘in tears’ when her pro Strictly partner Anton Du Beke said she ‘looked like a P***’ in 2009.

The actress, who is of Indian and Moroccan descent, will head to Albert Square as guest character Ayesha in August.
Ayesha arrives in Walford following an invitation from established character Nish Panesar, and it’s quickly apparent she has history with him, his ex-wife Suki Panesar, and the rest of the family.
It will transpire that Ayesha knew Suki and Nish a long time ago, but they haven’t been in touch for many years.
Laila is also best known for her roles in since-cancelled soaps Holby City and Primeval.
