American rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars are headed Down Under next year.
The Closer to the Edge hitmakers are embarking on a world tour in 2024, which includes a number of Australian dates.
The extensive tour includes a run of Australian dates, with the band performing at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on 12th September 2024, ahead of further shows at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena, and finally Brisbane’s Riverstage.
From there, they’ll head over to New Zealand before hitting other territories.
In flamboyant rock star fashion, frontman Jared Leto announced the tour by climbing the Empire State Building in New York City.

‘The building is a testament of all the things that can be done in the world if we put our minds to it, which is largely the inspiration behind our most recent album, It’s The End Of The World But It’s A Beautiful Day,’ Leto said in a statement.
The Live Nation presale for the Australian leg of the tour goes on sale at 1pm, Wednesday, 15th November.
General sale is 1pm, Friday, 17th of November.
The world tour will also see the band travel across Latin America, Europe, and North America – their first headline tour in over 5 years.

The band’s last album dropped on September 15, 2023, peaking at No. 76 on the Billboard 200.
The band, formed in 1998, currently consists of Jared on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, his brother Shannon Leto on drums, and Tomo Miličević on lead guitar and keyboards.
When he’s not rocking out and doing rock star stunts like bungee jumping on stage and climbing the Empire State Building, Jared is focused on his acting.

In 2014, Jared took over Hollywood with an Oscar win for his incredible transformation into a transgender AIDS patient named Rayon in Dallas Buyer’s Club.
