The Wiggles have turned down a massive movie offer that would have seen the original group reunited for the first time in more than a decade.
Founding members Anthony Field, Murray Cook, Jeff Fatt and Greg Page were approached to star in the upcoming Australian action comedy Zombie Plane.
But after finding the offer initially attractive, the group decided to walk away from the film which is set to co-star Sophie Monk, US rapper Vanilla Ice and famed movie ‘tough guy’ Chuck Norris.
According to insiders, the original Wiggles declined their chance to reunite because the movie, currently being completed in Brisbane, was ‘too off-brand’ for the children’s entertainers.
‘[The film] is very tongue-in-cheek and the boys were flattered to be asked, but sadly the chance to see the originals back together again has been dashed,’ a source told Yahoo Lifestyle last week.

‘They loved the script and the idea that was created for them and it would have been exciting to get the band back together but the project just didn’t sit right.’
The Wiggles was formed in Sydney in 1991 by the four original members – only Anthony Field remains in the group today after Cook, Fatt and Page departed in 2012.
Meanwhile Aussie singers Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Amy Shark will also reportedly appear in Zombie Plane.

Set aboard a plane, the stars of the film play ‘fictional versions’ of themselves.
Trade paper Hollywood Reporter announced the production last year and said it concerned a secret government organisation that uses ‘celebrities’ as undercover agents. Their quest is to head-off a threat to all humanity.
The plot of the film centres on a zombie outbreak on a flight from Sydney to Los Angeles during which the passengers must foil the marauders.

It also stars Home and Away hunk Dan Ewing, 37, and Neighbours veteran Teressa Liane, 35.
Fan can also look forward to a throwback ’90s soundtrack and plenty of celebrity cameos.
The cheeky send-up is being co-directed by two Australian filmmakers Lav Bodnaruk and Michael Mier.

It comes after Sophie Monk, 44, took to Instagram to share behind the scenes footage of the on set action during filming.
In the clip, the blonde beauty is seen standing in the aisle of a plane alongside a pair of prop severed feet in panty hose, covered in stage blood.
‘I wonder what brand the stockings are,’ Sophie jokingly tells her fans.
She also posted a video capturing her laughing it up with her co-star Vanilla Ice, 55, as she taught the Texas native some cheeky Australian slang.
‘Take the p**s means you are kidding,’ she tells the Ice Ice Baby hitmaker.
