Kim Kardashian and ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson managed to keep things ‘very cordial’ when they crossed paths at Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary special on Sunday night.
The former couple were seen avoiding contact with each other at the event as they mingled with the large number of stars in attendance.
In a short clip shared online by PopCrave, Kim was seen walking past her former partner while he warmly greeted a friend on the red carpet – the comedian, 31, then followed on behind the 44-year-old’s entourage.
However, a source exclusively revealed to DailyMail.com that part of the reason why the pair avoided any friendly encounters was to ensure fans didn’t get false hope of a romantic reunion.
‘Pete and Kim were very cordial to each other every time they had to interact during SNL 50,’ the insider explained. ‘So much was happening that they didn’t really have to be in the same place at the same time but the times they were, everything was okay.’
Opening up about the pair’s lack of interaction, the source continued: ‘They didn’t really flirt, nor should anyone think they will start hooking up again, but there was no weirdness that some might expect from exes.’

The insider also highlighted the fact that the pair had different approaches when it came to socializing on the night as they added: ‘It was all celebration and for the most part Kim wanted to be seen with everyone, where Pete pretty much kept to himself and hung out with John Mulaney.’
