The Traitors’ Linda eyes up another villainous role on the stage after her Oscar-worthy acting skills made her the show’s standout star

She became the stand-out star of the series, thanks to her iconic one-liners and Oscar-worthy acting skills.

And now The Traitors star Linda Rands is hoping her treacherous time on the show will land her another villainous role on the stage.

The retired opera singer, 70, appeared as the very first guest on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on Tuesday and opened up about her future career goals.

Scott asked her whether she’d be up for showcasing her incredible acting talent in a pantomime this Christmas, saying he would put in a word with his theatre contacts.

He joked: ‘When I see talent like yours I can’t ignore it, so I have made some calls on your behalf and I do have a little bit of news. How would you feel about doing a panto at Christmas or are you busy?’

Linda admitted: ‘Not at this point, I’m not too busy…’ as Scott quickly jumped in to ask what role she would prefer.

While she reflected on her viral billboard plastered above the Vue cinema in London’s Leicester Square, that poked fun at her stint on the Traitors.

The billboard showed Linda earning the Golden Cloak Award for the ‘performance of a lifetime award’, with her making the trek from her Hertfordshire home to post for a photo alongside it.

Laughing over the poster with Scott, Linda admitted: ‘Hilarious, the only award I’ve ever won in my life and it was for bad acting!’

Despite her performing background, her acting displays in the hit BBC show raised the suspicions of her fellow contestants, while having viewers in hysterics.

One slip up came when host Claudia Winkleman secretly chose her first three Traitors and Linda visibly reacted to the presenter when she said the title out loud.

It was a move noticed by several Faithfuls that lead to her being banished, while it spawned meme after meme with viewers.

Breaking her silence following her exit, Linda admitted she didn’t have a strategy in the fame and is a ‘bit of an airhead’.

Speaking after leaving the show, she explained: ‘I didn’t really have a strategy – I think it was just to not let people know I was a Traitor and I’m really proud I made it as far as I did.

‘I’d talked about being a mother figure but I played the jokey person more, and that did work. I’m a bit of an airhead so that came over as well.’

She was later reunited with her castmates on Tuesday night, with the finalists celebrating at Claridge’s Hotel for the Radio Times covers party.

Her fellow Traitor Minah looked incredible in a bright fuschia dress while Frankie commanded attention in a black lace minidress, with a heart-shaped cutout.

The pair showed there was no animosity with co-star Charlotte, as they posed alongside the fake Welsh star at the bash.

While winners Leanne and Jake also joined the group to celebrate, alongside fan favourite star Alexander, who looked typically dapper in a black suit.

Leanne and Jake eventually emerged victorious in Friday’s explosive final, which saw Francesca, Alexander and Charlotte banished, bagging the £94,600 prize money.
