On Love Island contestants are plied with makeup and encouraged to layer it on by producers.
But it’s a different story on ITV’s other flagship show, I’m A Celebrity, where campmates wave goodbye to their makeup bags as they are actively banned from bringing any products in.
Contestants are provided with body lotion, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, a toothbrush and tea tree toothpaste.
Deodorant was banned in season one but is now provided along with shampoo and a shaving stick and razor but that’s it.
But this year, fans have become convinced that celebrities including Tulisa Contostavlos, Jane Moore and Coleen Rooney are flouting the rules and wearing makeup.
It can now be revealed, that this is not the case, as sources on the show have confirmed that no one has been given a special exemption from the rule and everyone is bare-faced.

So what is it that helps them look so done up?
MailOnline can reveal that the stars have seemingly found a loophole to the no makeup rule in semi-permanent beauty treatments they got before going into the Jungle for their three-week stints.
Eliza’s Fashion and Beauty director, Krissy Turner, has broken down the treatments she thinks this year’s celebrities have had.

Speaking ahead of her Jungle appearance, Tulisa told MailOnline: ‘You’re bearing your soul. You’re bearing you as exactly who you are. Make-up free, it’s just something freeing about it. I feel like it’s going to feel like therapy.’
Tulisa was spotted just days before flying out to Australia getting her nails which have been gelled and painted brown.

Eagle-eyed fans have noticed the Loose Women panellist’s eye makeup has not rubbed off after three days of sleeping in the Jungle.
One person wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: ‘How come Jane is wearing eyeliner? Are the contestants allowed to take cosmetics into the Jungle? And how is she applying it without a mirror?
Krissy has a suggestion to all of these questions and said it’s permanent or semi-permanent eyeliner which is a tattooed on which gives the appearance of wearing eyeliner which can cost £450.

GK Barry
The TikTok star, 25, joked in the launch episode about how expensive her hair is as she has extra long extensions put in before her stint on the show which can cost up to £600.
Braids, hats, plaits and ponytails are popular ways to handle the problem but it appears extensions aren’t so jungle-friendly and GK Barry may already be regretting entering camp with lengthy hair extensions after they became waterlogged and crawling with critters during her trials.
The social media star has also had a French-tip manicure which can cost up to £40.

The only contestant to have an exception made to makeup in the Jungle was the former Queen of the Jungle, Georgia Toffolo.
