Karl Stefanovic has captured attention with his ‘solid-looking’ hair while covering the US presidential election on the Today Show in recent days.
The TV presenter, 50, jetted over to the United States earlier this month to front the election, which saw Donald Trump regain the White House over Kamala Harris.
Since returning Down Under, Today Show viewers have noticed that Karl’s hair looks strikingly different, with his quiff appearing much darker and fuller.
His appearance even piqued the interest of The Kyle And Jackie O Show, who discussed his new look at length during Wednesday’s episode.
Pete Deppeler, known on air as ‘Intern Pete’, revealed he had text Karl to ask him about his darkened locks in a humorous exchange.
‘It looks like he’s got – remember Bert Newton back in the day with his solid hair? He’s got that kind of look going on,’ Pete joked.
He then shared the message he had sent Karl, which read: ‘Your hair was very different today, we will be discussing at length on the show tomorrow, would you mind letting me know if you’re using hair make-up now or a new spray?’
Pete said he did actually get a response from Karl, who quipped that he was trying to channel Trump, who has famously garnered attention online for his locks.

Karl wrote back: ‘When I was in the United States covering the US election I was bombarded with messages from Kyle about Donald Trump and his hair. I figured the best day to get popular is by having funny hair.’
With Pete convinced that Karl was being serious, radio host Kyle Sandilands chimed in with: ‘He’s taking the p**s out of you, that’s a p**s-taking statement.’
Elsewhere on Tuesday, Karl was also slapped live on-air by a guest on the Today Show as he conquered one of his biggest fears.
The veteran TV star was treated to a one-on-one with Australia’s Happiest Pet, Lemon Chicken – a therapy animal who loves roaming around the garden and even getting its nails painted.
Owner Kris Stanley brought her jovial pet on the program for some couch time with Karl and Sarah, but things went far from smoothly during the segment.
Ironically, close encounters with small animals is the opposite of therapy for Karl, who has previously spoken about being attacked by a sausage dog as a child.
Things were going smoothly until Lemon Chicken began to walk towards Karl on the couch, prompting his co-host Sarah to suggest he hold the pet to overcome his fear.

Sarah and Krissy both tried to coax Karl into the sweet moment, but he freaked out as the chicken was placed in his lap and started flapping wildly.
He begrudgingly held on to the bird for a few a seconds, before promptly dropping her on the floor.
‘Oh my god you’ve dropped my baby!’ Krissy yelled as she slap him on the shoulder.
‘I don’t like them,’ Stefanovic said to which the owner replied: ‘Well she doesn’t like you.’
Karl tried to patch things up with Lemon Chicken and agreed to let Krissy put the bird on his shoulder, which he failed to do without pulling a disgusted face.
