Rob Mills faced an inquisition as he appeared on The Project on Friday night.
The singer was joined on the show by his fiancée, regular panellist Georgie Tunny, with her co-stars pressuring Mills to set a wedding date.
‘You guys have been engaged forever. Can you finally do it?’ quipped Waleed Aly, leaving Rob flustered and struggling to answer.
‘We’re both very busy. I’ve only just finished work Friday last week’ he said quickly, looking quite awkward.
‘So I’ve ben touring for the last year and a half doing the musical. Best thing I’ve ever done’ he added.
‘Best thing he’s ever done, did you hear that?’ Waleed asked Georgie, who shared an embarrassed laugh before trying to joke about the wording.
‘It does add up because in our early days of dating, we dated for a year and Robert got a bonsai plant and he said it’s his biggest achievement. And I was like, hello?’ she said.
Michael Hing then compounded the awkwardness by asking rob, ‘Are you worried that when you get back off tour, you would have to live with her that you might not like it?’

A smattering of polite laughter from the cast followed the question, with Georgie looking coy.
‘I have a been back home the last four nights. She’s moved some furniture. Some pictures have gone up’ Rob tried to joke.
‘We want a date by the end of this segment’ Waleed insisted, and a flustered Rob replied, ‘No pressure’.
It comes after Tunny shared a bittersweet birthday tribute to her fiancé In June, after the couple spent the last year in a long-distance relationship.
‘Robert and I always liken our relationship to a see-saw, when one of us is flailing the other stays grounded, when one is earthbound the other lifts them up,’ she said.
‘It’s been a tough year. Long distance brings with it missed calls, countless FaceTimes, hilarious dates, and a simmering loneliness without your [lobster emoji].
‘But we’re nearly there! And I’m so proud of him. And I think you should all be proud of him, too. And it’s his birthday.’

Rob explained to The Sydney Morning Herald that he first became enamoured with the journalist when he saw her on TV.
‘I flicked on the television to ABC News Breakfast and went, ”Who is that?!” She was beautiful and articulate. I needed to know her,’ he said at the time.
‘I sent her a direct message on Instagram, which opened with, ‘I promise I’m not crazy’.
Although Georgie was initially unsure if the message was actually from Rob, it didn’t take much to convince her to go on a date.
