It’s one of the most recognisable voices on television and for years MAFS fans have been convinced that the show’s narrator is Channel Nine’s Georgie Gardner.
But now the silky-smooth tones have been revealed to be the work of actress Helen Dallimore.
Gardner began as MAFS narrator in 2015, but Dallimore took on the part after the former Today host departed the dating show at the end of 2017.
Fans have been convinced that Gardner was still narrating MAFS because the Internet Movie Database currently credits her in the role.
Former MAFS star Ollie Skelton, who is a voice over artist, gushed over Dallimore’s skill at guiding fans through the show’s twists and turns.

It comes after Gardner recently revealed why her co-hosting role on the Today show didn’t work out.
The 9News star replaced Lisa Wilkinson in 2018 and sat alongside Karl Stefanovic on the Channel Nine breakfast show for one year.
She then co-hosted the show with Deborah Knight in 2019.
Speaking on the It’s All Her podcast, Gardner shared details about the job, saying that it was a ‘privilege’ to take on the role.
However, with issues surrounding Stefanovic’s very public divorce from ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn, as well as his relationship with now-wife Jasmine Yarbrough, things started taking a toll inside the studio.

The journalist then quashed previous reports of the pair’s tense relationship.
‘We really got on well and really liked each other and had, it was a great chemistry actually,’ she continued.
‘Anyway, one thing led to another he was moved off the show. In fact, they moved everyone off, which was very, very tricky for me.
Stefanovic was axed from the Today show before Deborah Knight moved in alongside Gardner in 2019.
