The Devil Wears Prada cast members Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt thrilled fans on Saturday as they reunited onstage at the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles.
The trio were tasked with presenting the best actor in a comedy series with Streep, 74, appearing on stage first by herself, telling the crowd she had forgotten her glasses and the envelope with this year’s winner.
Hathaway, 41, and Blunt, 41, then appeared and handed Streep her missing items, recreating their iconic roles as assistants to Miranda Priestly (Streep) in The Devil Wears Prada, which aired in 2006.
Streep then began presenting the award, as she asked: ‘It’s an age-old question, where does the character end, and the actor begin?’
‘Meryl and Miranda Priestly are sort of like twins,’ Blunt quipped, which Streep quickly began denying.

‘No no. That wasn’t a question,’ Hathaway hilariously interrupted her, with a nod to one of Miranda’s most cutting lines from the film.
While Streep was trying to open the envelope Blunt quoted her character one more time, telling her: ‘By all means move at a glacial pace, you know how that thrills me.’
The award eventually ended up going to Jeremy Allen White, for his role in The Bear.
Blunt is also a nominee for supporting actress for her role in Christopher Nolan’s ‘Oppenheimer.’
It’s been almost 18-years since The Devil Wears Prada — based on the 2003 New York Times bestseller by Lauren Weisberger written about her experience as an assistant to longtime Vogue editor Anna Wintour — aired.

In December 2023, Blunt and Hathaway reunited as part of Variety’s ‘Actors on Actors’ series, and discussed making the movie.
‘We just had a joy bomb of a time on that movie. I don’t know if any of us knew it was going to become what it did. It’s quoted to me every week. It will be the movie that changed my life,’ Blunt revealed.
They also shared they would be happy to do a sequel.
‘I would do [a sequel] in a heartbeat just to play with those guys again. It’s so fun,’ Blunt said during a November 2022 appearance on The View.

Winners are determined by SAG-AFTRA members, who vote for their favorites across a number of categories.
Issa Rae and Kumail Nanjiani announced the nominations earlier this year on Instagram Live, with Barbie and Oppenheimer leading the film nominations with four nods each.

Maestro’s Bradley Cooper and Oppenheimer’s Cillian Murphy are also among the contenders for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role.
Ryan Gosling, who played Ken in Barbie, is among the contenders for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role. He will compete against Sterling K. Brown, Willem Dafoe, Robert De Niro, and Robert Downey Jr. for the honor.
