Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton fans woke up to a musical treat on Friday.
The No Doubt veteran, who will be performing with the group in April at Coachella, has teamed up with the country superstar for another duet.
Purple Irises was released Friday, ahead of Gwen’s appearance at the Super Bowl LVIII TikTok Tailgate on Sunday in Las Vegas.
‘Purple Irises is a song that comes from the idea that when you plant something you are planting hope and watching love grow,’ the Grammy winner said in a statement.
‘Weathering all the different seasons of growth. We are in this together, we planted the seeds together and we are growing together,’ explained the rocker who has been married to the country crooner since 2021, after six years together.

The lovebirds first met as coaches on The Voice.
Since then, they have formed a family with Gwen’s three sons, Kingston, 17, Zuma, 15, and Apollo, nine, from her marriage to Gavin Rossdale, 58.
‘We love this song so much,’ said the CMA award winner who was featured in a video shot during the studio session.
‘It’s a song Gwen wrote with a couple of friends of hers, and I fell in love with it the first time I heard it.’
‘She knew there was something different about it and asked me to come in and sing with her.’
Blake believes the new hit will be successful across several music genres.
He described the soon-to-be hit as ‘a really cool and different song that can live anywhere.’
Purple Irises is their fifth duet together.

Blake will be hitting the road later this month. He will begin a month of performances on his Back to the Honky Tonk tour February 22 in Hershey, PA
They previous shared the microphone on Go Ahead and Break My Heart in 2016, You Make it Feel Like Christmas in 2017 and 2020’s No Body But You and Happy Anywhere.
It’s unclear if Blake will be making a guest appearance at the Tailgate streaming, but he will be hitting the road later this month.
He will begin a month of performances on his Back to the Honky Tonk tour February 22 in Hershey, PA.
Opening acts Dustin Lynch and Emily Ann Roberts will be with him through March 29, when the Winter leg of the tour concludes in Wichita, KS.
