The season finale of Ahsoka on Tuesday ended with ghost Anakin Skywalker proudly looking over his apprentice after villain Grand Admiral Thrawn escaped.
The Disney+ live-action series starring Rosario Dawson, 44, as Ahsoka Tano earlier featured appearances of her Jedi master Anakin played by Hayden Christensen, 42.
The Ahsoka series was created by Dave Filoni, 49, who previously worked with George Lucas, 79, who created the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated TV series that originated the Ahsoka character.
The show’s main villain Grand Admiral Thrawn was portrayed by Danish actor Lars Mikkelsen, 59, who previously voiced the character in the animated TV series Star Wars Rebels.
The eight-episode series premiered on August 22 and has largely received positive review from critics and fans of the Star Wars franchise.

Ahsoka saw characters from the animated shows portrayed in real life including Mandalorian warrior and graffiti artist Sabine Wren, played by Natasha Liu Bordizzo, and Jedi warrior Ezra Bridger, played by Eman Esfandi.
General Hera Syndulla was played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead, 38, who is the wife of Star Wars star Ewan McGregor, 52, known for his portrayal of Obi-Wan Kenobi.
The series also starred the late actor Ray Stevenson who played a former Jedi named Baylan Skoll.
Ray died in May at age 58 in Italy and the first episode of Ahsoka was dedicated to him when it was released in August.
The finale titled The Jedi, the Witch and the Warlord ended with a role reversal as Ahsoka and Sabine were stranded on the planet Peridea, while Ezra was able to escape the forsaken planet along with Thrawn.
Ezra at the end of the episode was reunited with Hera for the first time since the finale of the Rebels series.
The episode featured Ahsoka’s nemesis Morgan Elsbeth [Diana Lee Inosanto] being rewarded by the Nightsisters for her loyalty by turning her into a full-on witch.
The trio of witches for Morgan also conjured up the Blade Of Talzin, a powerful magic-encrusted sword that was once wielded by Mother Talzin in The Clone Wars.

The finale also featured a strong horror element as the Nightsisters used their dark magic to create zombie-like Night Troopers who were resurrected while fighting against Ahsoka, Sabine and Ezra.
The hard-fought battle against the zombie Night Troopers prompted Sabine to successfully use the power of the Force to retrieve her lightsaber from several feet away.
It was a major achievement for Sabine who earlier struggled with her ability to use the Force to move objects under the tutelage of Ahsoka.
Sabine also used the Force to propel Ezra onto Thrawn’s Star Destroyer before it jumped back, but she stayed behind to help Ahsoka who ultimately killed Morgan during a lightsaber versus magical sword battle.
Thrawn was able to escape to Dathomir, home of the Nightsisters, while Ahsoka and Sabine stayed behind on Peridea.
Ahsoka took their situation in stride as she saw the Force spirit Morai in the form of a bird that often trails her.
‘It’s time to move on,’ Ahsoka told Sabine who looked out at ‘shadows in the starlight’.
As Ahsoka and Sabine turned away, Anakin as a Force Ghost looked at them smiling.
