The carousel of snaps arrives following the news that Taylor after would be taking on the role of Dionne Warwick in a forthcoming biopic.
While appearing on an upcoming episode of the Tamron Hall Show, the 32-year-old multi-hyphenate talent revealed that she would be portraying the music icon in a new film.
The A Thousand And One actress also told the host of the eponymous talk show that production on the project has already started and is currently underway.
‘We’re already working on it,’ the dancer — who choreographed the music video for Beyonce’s Ring the Alarm — said in a clip shared to Billboard. ‘We’re in the building process right now.’
A title and release date for the biopic telling the story of the 82-year-old hitmaker — which Warwick herself previously hinted was ‘in the works’ two years ago — has not yet been revealed.
‘I always wanted to make sure I could lock in with any person that I would be playing,’ Taylor said during the interview with Tamron Hall.
The model also revealed that her inspiration was Angela Basset’s portrayal of Tina Turner in the 1993 biopic film — What’s Love Got To Do With It.
She also shared that for her performance, she looked to Jamie Foxx as Ray Charles in the 2004 Oscar-winning film Ray.
‘I miss when movies were like that — when you got to really get to know them and tap in,’ she said.
‘We talk almost every day,’ Taylor also revealed in efforts to get to know Warwick more. ‘That’s my girl.’
‘I’ve always been a firm believer and stood on safety,’ the Teyana & Iman reality TV star added.
‘She’s had a wonderful career, and I think right now is about making her feel as safe as possible to tell her story,’ the New York native said, explaining that she wants to do Warwick justice.
‘A lot of these stories get misconstrued or dramatized to an extent,’ she continued. ‘That’s not really where we want to go.’

Back in February 2021, Warwick confirmed the project to Entertainment Weekly and said a series about her legacy was ‘in the works’.
‘It’s going to be a series,’ she revealed at the time. ‘We’re planning to do an episodic type of a show.’
The legendary singer also went on to praise the actress: ‘[Teyana] is certainly a talented young lady with whom I’ve had the pleasure of interfacing.’
‘She’s very excited about the prospect of being involved, and she’s also going to be very, very much involved in directing it and putting together parts and parcel of how we see this going.’
