Teddi Mellencamp stepped out in Los Angeles on Tuesday, days after revealing why the death of Brandon Blackstock hit especially close to home.
The 44-year-old admitted on a recent episode of her podcast that it was difficult to learn that Blackstock had passed from the same ailment she has been diagnosed with – melanoma.
But she kept her spirits lifted on Tuesday, grabbing food with a pal in an especially head-turning look.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum mixed fashion with function in a silky pajama-style ensemble consisting of a partially buttoned blue blouse and matching flowing trousers.
She strode across the street, feet slipped into mesh flats, and a beaded necklace injecting a further touch of glam.
As she waited at the intersection, she brushed loose strays of her hair away from her face.

Last week, Teddi opened up to listeners of her Two Ts In A Pod podcast about how difficult it had been to learn Brandon had passed following a battle with melanoma.
The talent manager, who was the ex-husband of Grammy winner Kelly Clarkson, died at age 48 on August 7, some three years after being diagnosed with the dangerous skin cancer.
‘The Brandon Blackstock story really hit me hard this week,’ Teddi, who was diagnosed with the same affliction three years ago, told listeners.
‘I wish I would have missed that little detail in the World Wide Web because then I started doing research and they were so quiet about [his diagnosis],’ Teddi told listeners.
‘I mean, we know he passed from melanoma. They announced that.’
‘We’re assuming that it had metastasized,’ Teddi’s podcast host, Tamra Judge, said to her pal.
‘I was wondering, when did it metastasize?,’ Teddi wondered aloud, adding, ‘like this is just where my head goes from being in the situation, did he decline treatment?’
‘There’s so many different ways that this could have happened,’ she explained, adding, ‘and like I have one million [percent] respect their choice to keep it private.’
Tamra suggested the dedicated equestrian could reach out to Kelly for some more details to be shared privately.

For Teddi, the death of Brandon Blackstock from melanoma has hit close to home. Mellencamp was diagnosed with melanoma in 2022. Blackstock died on August 7 after a three-year-battle with the disease
Kelly, who shared children River, 11, and Remington, nine, with Brandon has not made any public comment regarding his death.
Wondering about what kinds of treatment Brandon received, Teddi queried, ‘Maybe he did immunotherapy? Maybe he did chemotherapy? We don’t know.’
‘I don’t know, but those kind of stories hit you hard, when it directly sounds similar to something that you’re going through,’ she said.
Teddi was first diagnosed with melanoma in 2022, but the disease has since spread to her brain and lungs.
She revealed this past April that her cancer had progressed to stage four.
Teddi has undergone 16 surgeries since her diagnosis, including the removal of four brain tumors.

She has also used radiation and immunotherapy to fight the disease.
On July 29, she shared with her Instagram followers that she was doing well after taking a break from immunotherapy.
‘Feeling better and not taking it for granted. Which means I’m back to work after taking last week off,’ she shared next to a selfie. ‘And if you know me that was completely against my instincts. I guess you could call that growth.’
