This Morning was forced off air on Friday after a technical issue wreaked havoc and accidentally played a series of random old clips.
Viewers took to X, formerly Twitter, worrying about what had happened to the show after old footage of Josie Gibson and Julia Bradbury cropped up on the programme before a message read: ‘We are sorry for the disruption to your schedule.
‘We will return to normal programming as soon as we can’.
Presenters Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary then reappeared and apologised to viewers.
Alison said: ‘Welcome back to This Morning. Now we do apologise we’ve had a few gremlins in the system and we’re sorting it, aren’t we?’

Dermot added: ‘Three lovely films to watch. It’s almost like Giles went backstage and fiddled with a couple of buttons just so we could have a little lie down.’
They were joined in the studio by Gyles Brandreth and Isla Traquair to resume the Morning View segment of the show.
Former politician Gyles, 75, – who has been married to Michèle Brown since 1973 – joked that whenever he does appear on the show, his wife puts the television on mute.
He said: ‘Well, I tell you, when I am on, my wife turns the sound down so she wouldn’t have missed it!’
Alison added: ‘So she’s turning it back up now? I love live TV.’
This Morning also took to X to address the disruption. They wrote: ‘Apologies for the technical issues, we’ll be back with you as soon as possible!’
But viewers were less-than-impressed saying the technical issue had ‘taken the wheels off the show’.
They wrote: ‘Whatever the technical issue was, it’s taken the wheels off the show – Alison & Dermot are all over the place. Wonder which segments have been scrapped in that 15 minutes of down-time’.
