The Karma hitmaker, 35, broke the internet on Tuesday when she announced her engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce, 35.
The couple — who have been together since 2023 — revealed the news in a post shared to their respective Instagram accounts, showing romantic photos of Travis proposing in a rose garden.
Following the engagement news, a clip of a 19-year-old Taylor discussing that she would get married ‘late in life’ has gone viral.
In the interview, featured on the Great American Country channel, long before she had millions of adoring fans around the globe, the young hitmaker told the host she wouldn’t get married until 35 years old.
‘My music is where I’m always gonna be personal. I don’t hold anything back in that category,’ a very youthful, curly-haired Taylor proclaimed.

‘So we’re not gonna find out until you’re married, and your mom’s here, so Mom? Not allowed to get married until she’s 35?’ the interviewer jokingly asked.
Swift concurred, adding, ‘No, it’s gonna be late. Late in life.’
