She is known for her love of easter eggs in music videos.

And Taylor Swift has seemingly taken a secret swipe at ex Joe Alwyn in the video for Fortnight, the first single from her new album The Tortured Poets Department.

The gothic video sees the singer, 34, working away on a typewriter and in one very brief shot it’s visible that the machine is missing the Number 1 key – despite featuring the buttons for two-nine and even a zero.

Taylor’s 2020 album Folklore included a track tiled The 1, which saw her sing about a former love: ‘But It would’ve been fun, if you would’ve been the one’.

She also swapped out another song for The 1 during her Eros Tour in March 2023, just days before it was revealed she had split from the British actor, 33.

They won a Grammy together for Album of the Year in 2021 after he co-wrote and co-produced several tracks on Folklore under the pseudonym William Bowery.

With apparent references to their six-year relationship featured throughout the album, a source told People that the actor, wanted to keep their romance ‘his own personal story.’

Although the news ‘took a lot of people by surprise’ in Alwyn’s life, he ‘wasn’t showing off in some way.’

On new track ‘So Long, London’, she also appeared to reference their relationship with the lyrics, ‘I stopped trying to make him laugh / Stopped trying to drill the safe.’

‘And I’m pissed off you let me give you all that youth for free,’ sings Swift.

She also appeared to hint that Joe cheated on her in the song ‘Fresh Out the Slammer’.

‘Another summer taking cover / Rolling thunder, he don’t understand me / Splintered back in winter / Silent dinner, bitter he was with her in dreams,’ she sings.

The video saw Taylor wow in a stunning, $6.2k gown while also exuding gothic Victorian chic alongside Post Malone.

The Grammy winner initially uploaded a black and white teaser to her fans on Thursday ahead of the music video’s premiere.

The songstress was not only joined by the Circles hitmaker, 28 – who is also featured on the track – but also Dead Poets Society stars Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles who made surprise cameos.

Moments before the video started, a countdown clock appeared on the screen with the sound of typewriters clicking away in the background.

A title card then appeared with ‘Fortnight’ and mimicked the beginning of a silent film.

The video then cut to Taylor laying on a bed with no mattress while chained to the railing. The bed itself was placed high up on a wall inside a large room that appeared to be inside an asylum.

A doctor then walked in upside down on the ceiling while holding a tray of medication, with a bottle of pills being labeled as, ‘Forget him.’

Swift could be seen wearing a strapless, $6,200 gown from the Australian designer, Toni Maticevski, which contained a dramatic neckline as well as a fitted bodice.

The skirt portion contained layered details as well as a thigh-high slit on the left side. She paired the stunning piece with sheer, white gloves as well as a custom, vintage diamond watch choker from Joseph Saidian and Sons.

Taylor opted for a smoky shadow around her eyes as well as a bold tint to her lips. Her eyebrows were covered up while a thinner brow was penciled in, similar to 1920s style.
