Taylor Swift was seen gnawing on her nails at fiancé Travis Kelce’s losing game on Christmas Day while the final minutes ticked away.
In footage posted to X, Swift heaved a tense sigh and then chewed on her red manicure as the Denver Broncos defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 20-13 at the Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, as revealed by Page Six.
The global superstar – who arrived to the game looking downcast – proved she’s just like a lot of other people in nerve-wracking situations.
Swift has been spotted nibbling on her nails at other Chiefs games when the pressure got to be too much.
During the close competition at Super Bowl 58 in February 2024, the Shake it Off singer’s nail-biting was captured on camera.
She has previously admitted the nervous habit is one that she ‘needs to stop.’

In her 2017 poem If You’re Anything Like Me, featured in the Target-exclusive reputation magazines, Swift writes: ‘If you’re anything like me/ You bite your nails / And laugh when you’re nervous / You promise people the world / because that’s what they want from you / You like giving them what they want… / But darling, you need to stop.’
Swift was clearly a bundle of nerves as she arrived to Thursday’s game, strolling to the VIP suite with her parents, Scott and Andrea Swift.
She wore a red bomber jacket with a black top and trousers and clutched a brown Louis Vuitton purse.
At one point, Swift paused to give a female friend a bear hug.
The Life of a Showgirl hitmaker has been attending Kelce’s games since they started dating in the summer of 2023.
They announced their engagement on August 26 of this year, though the actual proposal happened two weeks earlier at Kelce’s Missouri home in the garden decked out with peonies and roses, Kelce’s dad Ed told People.
Swift also supported her fiancé as the Chiefs took on the Los Angeles Chargers on December 18 where she was joined in the VIP suite by her mom and Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce.
The Chiefs lost that deciding game to the Chargers 16-13, officially eliminating them from the NFL playoffs and Super Bowl stardom since the 2014 season.

Then they lost to the Tennessee Titans 9-26 on Sunday, December 21.
Kelce, meanwhile, expressed mixed emotions after the disappointing defeat to the Denver Broncos on December 25.
He recognized the loss as ‘tough’ but praised the fans’ energy, telling reporters that he’ll ‘cherish that moment forever,’ according to KCTV5.
Now, their final game is set for January 4 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
As Swift and Kelce plan their wedding, the elephant in the room is whether he will retire after this season.
Ahead of the Christmas Day game, Kelce addressed the burning question in an interview with fellow Chiefs legend Tony Gonzales.
‘I think I’m still searching for those answers,’ Kelce confessed. ‘Obviously the way this one ended with a sour taste in my mouth.
‘I feel motivated but I’ve got to make the right decision for myself.’

But the three-time Super Bowl winner didn’t completely shut out the possibility of returning for one more season.
‘Just the fact that when I know it’s over, it’s over,’ he added when Gonzalez asked what he would be returning for.
‘I still have a lot of love for this game. If I came back, it would be just to answer that flame in my heart for this thing.’
Kelce added: ‘If it was just Sundays, I think I could play until I’m 50 but obviously there is so much that goes into it.’
