has admitted the ‘ableism’ she faced on Love Island still affects her today as she takes on an emotional new challenge in a bid to move forward.

Speaking at a screening of BBC’s Pilgrimage: The Road To Holy Island, the reality star said: ‘I suffered with ableism whilst I was on a show. People use your disability as their point to hate somebody.

‘It still gets to me now. It was literally three years ago, but it still gets to me. I think it’s because I saw the impact it had on my family.’

The influencer, 27, who was born completely deaf and received a cochlear implant at the age of five, is among the stars taking part in the latest series of the BBC travel documentary.

She joins actress , 58, Diversity star , 37, Cold Feet actress Hermione Norris, 59, and presenter Jayne Middlemiss, 55, as they embark on a five-day pilgrimage across North Yorkshire, County Durham and Northumberland.

Following ancient routes associated with figures such as St. Cuthbert, the group travels through dramatic landscapes before reaching the Holy Island of Lindisfarne.

In the first episode, Tasha shares a warm bond with Patsy, telling her: ‘I think you’re an incredible woman, like you really are, you’re so strong, you’re so forceful, empowering.

‘I’ve learned so much from you already, and I can’t wait to learn more from you.’

Patsy, in turn, offers the younger star some hard-earned advice about love, saying: ‘You don’t have to !’

The influencer previously told the Daily Mail that ‘everything is thrown at you after a show like that, good and bad.’

She added: ‘There was the trolling and ableism, but also the brand deals. It felt like a volcano.’

Following their success on Love Island, Tasha and Andrew went on to buy their first home together and begin renovations before splitting last year – a shock to fans after Andrew was seen supporting Tasha in the audience while she was starring on Strictly Come Dancing at the end of 2024.

The break up soon Tasha is now in a relationship with her boyfriend, BBC presenter Cam Whitnall, after striking up a romance last May.

She wrote: 'I was so so anxious to share this, I've experienced a lot of horrific trolls in the past year in my messages online and it massively impacted my mental health to the point I didn't want to leave my bedroom.

'I'm getting emotional typing this but this feels like a fresh new beginning and it's the perfect haven to restart.'

In January, Tasha said 2025 was a 'mentally tough' year as she , and told her 1.3million Instagram followers she was heading into 2026 'surrounded by love.’

She said: '2025 was tough mentally. I had to dig out of deep places from very horrific trolling but in the end of it all I found true happiness.

'I don't want to talk much on it because I know people want to be sad and never be happy.

'Never again am I letting them tear me apart to the point I completely lost myself and my love for what I do.'

Pilgrimage: The Road To Holy Island airs on BBC Two on April 5 at 9pm.
