Tammy Hembrow’s husband Matt Zukowski finally breaks his silence on his mystery absence amid chatter that the pair are headed for divorce

Matt Zukowski has finally broken his silence as he remains absent from wife Tammy Hembrow’s online posts. 

The Love Island star, who has been at the centre of divorce rumours with the fitness influencer he married just months ago, insisted in an Instagram Stories post on Monday that he was simply having a social media break. 

‘There’s a lot of people out there who say negative stuff and they want to see people fail, they want to see things fail’ Matt said in the clip when explaining why he hasn’t been seen online in weeks. 

‘It’s depressing. So I took a break’ Matt added, explaining that he was now done with his break and would go back to regular posting. 

Tellingly however, Matt did not directly address his marriage to Tammy, who celebrated her 31st birthday last week and made sure to extensively document the event on social media – with Matt absent the whole time. 

She posted about her festivities several times on Instagram showing off her cake, flowers and gifts.

However missing from the birthday celebrations was her new husband.

Tammy’s fans quickly noticed, with many asking about Matt’s absence – and some even wondering if the pair are already facing a divorce just months after walking down in aisle in November.

‘Why has the husband disappeared?’ asked one person in the comments while another said, ‘Happy birthday, but what about your husband?’

Another concerned follower questioned, ‘Divorced already, huh?’ 

‘Super weird that you don’t show your husband in your birthday post but everything else’ said one more. 

‘Where’s her husband?’ asked one fan, with someone else saying, ‘Where’s Matt?’ 

Some defended Tammy, with one person writing, ‘When she posts him it’s a problem when she doesn’t post him its a problem, my girl can never win’. 

‘She literally posted him on TikTok last week, they’re fine’ one more chimed in.

The social media star shared a gallery of precious birthday photos on Tuesday, which captured her living life to the fullest in celebration of her big day.

One picture captured Tammy beaming as she ate some birthday cake and another showed her happily posing with a bouquet of flowers.

Tammy looked to be in great spirits in the pictures – while her husband was not seen in any of the photos, nor was there any mention of him.

She captioned another photo with some telling words: ‘Grateful for the girlies in my life making me feel so special today.’ 

While many of Tammy’s friends and family took to the comment section to congratulate her on the milestone, Matt was not among them.

‘You truly get finer with age. HBD bby!!! xxx,’ gushed The Amazing Race star Lily Brown and model Brooke Evers added: ‘Happy birthday, beautiful mama.’ 

Tammy’s birthday celebration comes after she unfollowed and quickly re-followed Matt on Instagram last month after she was spotted crying.

Facebook gossip group Tea Time shared a screenshot of the Australian YouTuber’s Instagram page showing that Matt’s name could not be found in the list of people she follows.

‘Here we go again,’ the post was captioned, hinting at the previous times the couple had deleted each other from their socials. 

‘Tammy Hembrow has unfollowed her new husband and removed some posts with him in it,’ the post read.

Tammy, who has unfollowed Matt, 29, multiple times in the past, also deleted several images of the pair together before re-following him again.

The couple met after the former Love Island star slid into Tammy’s DMs in 2023 and wed a year later in a stunning Byron Bay ceremony. 

However, her recent social media move has fans questioning the state of their marriage.

Tammy’s Instagram now shows that she has re-followed her spouse.

This isn’t the first time the fitness influencer has unfollowed and re-followed her partner on social media.

The couple sparked speculation that their relationship was in strife after they briefly unfollowed each other on social media in October last year – just one month before their wedding.

However, the pair quickly re-followed each other shortly after Daily Mail Australia contacted them for comment.

Before that, the pair briefly unfollowed each other on social media in April last year.

Neither of them had been featured in each other’s Instagram posts at the time, sparking rumours that the couple were in troubled waters. 

In January, Tammy removed her wedding rings and left her husband in Melbourne after a very public spat that saw patrons at the Australian Open shocked by their behaviour.

The newlyweds were guests at the tennis and were gifted VIP suite seats, which cost $914 per person, courtesy of Chemist Warehouse.

However, the date ended in disaster as the couple broke into a fight over something quite trivial.

A source, who witnessed the altercation, told Daily Mail Australia that the argument was ‘tense’.

‘Things looked pretty tense. Then we heard Tammy saying “get your stuff out of my house”,’ the insider revealed.

‘One thing is for sure, the [Australian Open] won’t be having them back next year,’ another guest in their VIP box also confirmed.

A friend of both Tammy and Matt also told Daily Mail Australia that arguments are ‘becoming more and more common’ for the pair, who have made headlines for their tumultuous relationship.

‘They obviously love the drama. It’s like they enjoy fighting and getting back together,’ the friend added.

After the argument Tammy heading back to the Gold Coast without Matt. 

Following Tammy’s return to the Gold Coast, neighbours noticed the newlywed was not wearing her wedding ring.

However, the couple made amends and were seen cuddling an event just days later.
