Tammy Hembrow called ‘strategic’ for filming herself crying post-marriage split from Matt Zukowski.

Tammy Hembrow called ‘strategic’ for filming herself crying post-marriage split from Matt Zukowski.

Tammy Hembrow has been labelled ‘strategic’ following the breakdown of her marriage to Matt Zukowski.

The fitness influencer, who was recently spotted on a date with AFL star Bailey Smith, shared footage to Instagram on the weekend sobbing and shaking while flaunting her wedding ring.

‘It felt like the heaviness would never end,’ Tammy wrote over the heartbreaking clips which she says were filmed during her marriage.

Now, social media users are questioning whether the video was a raw depiction of emotion or a strategic move by the mega-influencer.

On Tuesday, sisters Amy, Sophie and Kate Taeuber shared their own thoughts on the viral video in the latest episode of their Outspoken podcast.

‘My initial thought when I watched the video was: how does someone capture themselves crying genuinely?’ one of the sisters shared.

She wasn’t the only one thinking it, with many fans questioning the authenticity of the moment in the comments section.

‘Just curious, do you cry first then film or set up the camera then cry?’ one person asked, which was met with a direct reply from Tammy.

‘These were actually just vids of me talking that I sent to my sis that we’re never intended to see the light of day. hope this helps,’ she wrote.

Despite the clarification, the emotional clip still raised eyebrows for its performative nature, especially considering the timing of the post.

In the caption of the video, Tammy explained that she had made the video ‘so long ago’ and that it was ‘too much’ for her to upload at the time.

However, she decided to share the clip to help others going through a rough patch.

But the Outspoken podcast hosts weren’t buying it.

‘I personally found the timing of Tammy’s video very interesting cus it appears to be in direct response to the claims Matt Zukowski made on his podcast on Thursday,’ one of the sisters admitted.

In Matt’s latest episode of Where’s Your Head At, he claimed to have been the one to end the relationship for ‘mental health’ reasons.

He also added that he had been hurt by the speed with which Tammy moved on only two months after their split announcement.

‘I think what we’re all witnessing at the moment is a masterclass in how Tammy has managed to attract 20 million social media followers and keep them entertained because she is super strategic with the content that she’s posting at the moment,’ one of the podcast hosts shared.

‘She had this video ready to go in her bag of tricks to shift public sentiment when it was needed.’

Matt and Tammy got engaged in December 2023 after just three months of dating.

They tied the knot almost a year later, in November 2024, but breakup rumours began to circulate earlier this year, ending in a divorce announcement in June.
