Bailey Smith and Tammy Hembrow have copped some not-so-subtle criticism over their latest collaboration video.
The couple recently ‘hard launched’ their friendship as part of a partnership with dating app Tinder, and Tammy took to Instagram on Saturday to share the first fruits of the partnership. Â
The cringeworthy video shows Bailey, 25, in dating coach mode, offering Tammy, 31, some tips about opening lines when messaging people on dating apps.
‘I’m not going to lie, when we first met I thought your chat game was a bit weak,’ Bailey said, to which Tammy offered: ‘Oh did you now?’
Bailey then told his student that for every bad opening line she offered, she had to do a shoulder press.
Tammy’s first suggestion of, ‘Heyyy,’ was given a thumbs down from Bailey who declared the line: ‘Shocking.’

‘It’s cool you own a clothing label how did that start?’ was Tammy’s next suggestion, which was given a green light from coach Bailey.
He then took umbrage with her question, ‘What are your thoughts on marriage?’ taking a subtle dig at her failed union with ex-husband Matt Zukowski.
‘Tammy, have you learned nothing?’ Bailey asked.
The fitness maven then turned the topic to travel, asking: ‘I’ve always wanted to go to Japan. Best part of your trip?’
This line of questioning was deemed acceptable by Bailey, who replied: ‘That’s what I’m talking about. Nice work, Tammy.’
The clip ended with Tammy admitting she felt confident in her newly honed conversation skills.
‘Go get ’em, tiger,’ Bailey said.
The clip elicited a flurry of comments from fans, with many saying the result was ‘awkward’.

Influencer Simone Anderson threw some not-so-subtle shade at the clip, commenting, ‘Fab ad,’ with a raft of crying laughing face emojis.
Another follower replied to Simone’s cheeky comment with: ‘Stop lying.’
One fan jumped in with a simple, ‘This looks so awkward,’ while another echoed the sentiment with: ‘This has to be a joke.’
Another follower went one further, claiming the ad was the worst thing they had ever witnessed.
‘This is the worst thing I’ve ever seen in my life,’ they wrote, while another replied: ‘And she’s still being paid a lot of money for it.’
It wasn’t just the wooden acting that gave fans the ‘ick’, with one eagle-eyed cinephile pointing out production flaws in the clip.
‘The lighting on this is awful,’ they wrote.
Some were even driven to anger over the clip with one follower asking: ‘Wtf is this s***?’Â
It wasn’t all criticism though, with some fans praising the pairing as an ‘ICONIC collab’.
The clip comes after Bailey took to Instagram on Monday to announce he and Tammy have decided to make things official as friends, teaming up with Tinder ahead of the busiest dating day of the year—January 4.
‘Hey guys. So Tammy and I have decided to make it official. We’re gonna be each other’s Tinder coaches this summer,’ he said.
The clip quickly raised eyebrows after months of speculation surrounding their on-again, off-again dating era earlier this year.
