TALK OF THE TOWN: Tycoon Rejects Reality Star’s Club Claims

With Annabel’s, Mayfair’s most exclusive nightclub, culling its £3,750-a-year membership list to keep out the ‘riff-raff’, the wise move would be to try to stay on the right side of its owner.

However, reality TV star Amanda Cronin appears to have burned her bridges with Richard Caring after slating the nightspot on air.

‘Long story short, on episode one of Real Housewives Of London, I called it “Chav-abel’s”,’ Amanda tells me.

‘That is what people call it. I didn’t make it up! Then I get an email and I see, “We’re not renewing your membership”.’

Her membership was actually with sister club George, which ‘king of Mayfair’ Caring also owns.

But it’s not the first run-in Amanda – who revels in the nickname ‘The Longest Legs In Belgravia’ – has had with Annabel’s.

The model-turned-skincare entrepreneur, right, who once dated Wham! star Andrew Ridgeley, tells me she was denied entry to the club last year, despite wearing a very expensive outfit.

‘I had boots on from Gucci, a beautiful catsuit, perfect make-up, fine jewellery and a Gucci bag to match – all new,’ she says.

‘The receptionist makes me wait there like an idiot, then says, “I can’t let you in. You are wearing leggings.”

‘I called, I complained, I emailed Richard, I texted, and I said, “Are you joking? You turned me away because I was wearing a stretchy catsuit?” I was deeply upset and deeply embarrassed.’

Amanda now says she will be spending her time at new restaurant Carbone instead.

Although near impossible to get a reservation at the celebrity haunt, she insists: ‘I can get a table whenever I like.

Annabel’s, George, it is not my status. My status is much, much higher than this group.’

A source has said of the cull: ‘Annabel’s is globally famous for its exclusivity and elegance. This will ensure it remains so.’

Caring’s representative was contacted for comment.

Picture perfect relationship

They’ve been together 16 years, but actor Jason Statham, 58, and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, 38, looked frosty at last week’s Burberry show, sitting stiffly side by side at Kensington Palace, jaws clenched and with no eye contact.

Until, that is, camera flashes fired up and the pair, right, struck a loved-up pose – for as long as lenses were looking.

Daisy’s fallen for a scan

I hear the Countess Mountbatten of Burma’s granddaughter has joined the 22,000-long list of people waiting for the trendy full body ‘MoT-like’ scan at Neko Health.

But the latest Swedish wellness fad comes at a price, as fashion designer Daisy Knatchbull, right, will have to pay £300 for the pleasure.

A healthy sum, indeed!

Best stick to fashion Trinny!

Don’t expect to see beauty mogul Trinny Woodall on the Great British Bake Off any time soon.

Trinny was supposed to be cooking a meal for her best mate and former TV sidekick Susannah Constantine last week but managed to produce a dish, right, so blackened it was unidentifiable.

‘Not only is Trinny a brilliant and tireless businesswoman but she is also a fabulous cook,’ Susannah joked.

Hollywood heart-throb Gosling’s organic haul

It must be nice to work at Daylesford Organic in Notting Hill.

I hear staff at the upmarket grocer and cafe have been enjoying the presence of Hollywood heart-throb Ryan Gosling recently.

The Barbie star apparently keeps things low-key, arriving without any security and often with his family in tow, and will always leave a generous tip to his lucky server.

His most recent gratuity? A hefty £120.

It’s nepo dad!

Forget nepo babies – here come the nepo dads.

Actor James Norton handed his father Hugh a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo in his new Netflix drama, House Of Guinness.

Hugh plays a protester fighting for Irish independence, directly opposed to James’s character, Sean Rafferty, a loyalist foreman for the Guinness family.

On Instagram, the actor, who often lands his dad small roles in his projects, joked it was ‘bring your dad to work day’ as he shared a snap of them in hats and cravats, left, on social media.
