Sydney Sweeney’s Disturbing Look in The Housemaid Trailer

Sydney Sweeney looked demented in her new trailer for her psychological thriller The Housemaid.

The actress also got screamed at by her costar Amanda Seyfried.

The 39-year-old Mean Girls alum — who plays wealthy married mother-of-one Nina Winchester — was in a rage as she yelled: ‘Where are they?! Millie threw away my PTA notes!’

The 27-year-old American Eagle brand ambassador — who plays live-in housemaid Millie Calloway — dodged flying objects as she responded: ‘Why don’t you check your office?’

As Millie apologized, Nina was being comforted by her husband Andrew (Brandon Sklenar) and calmly stated: ‘You need to be more careful next time. You’ve ruined my entire day.’

Earlier, Michele Morrone — who plays the groundskeeper Enzo — struck an intimidating pose and asked Millie what she was doing there and she replied: ‘I work here.’

At that, the camera cut to an increasingly erratic-looking Nina glaring at the pair through her upstairs window.

Nina is later seen surrounded by police officers in Paul Feig’s big-screen adaptation of Freida McFadden’s 2022 novel, which ‘plunges audiences into a twisted world where perfection is an illusion, and nothing is as it seems.’

In the 336-page bestseller, which features a jaw-dropping twist, Millie lusts after Nina’s ‘broken, handsome’ husband while caring for their daughter and living in their attic (which ominously only locks from the outside).

There are only glimpses in the preview of a bloody knife and Millie’s violent checkered past, which involved at least one prison stint.

Clearly, Millie should not be underestimated, as her blood-stained character ends the trailer by announcing: ‘I need a f***ing sandwich.’

Sweeney and Seyfried also executive produced The Housemaid, hits US theaters on December 19.

The film also features Elizabeth Perkins, Indiana Elle, Mark Grossman, Hannah Cruz, Megan Ferguson and Ellen Tamaki.

The film arrives as Sweeney is in dire need of a hit after her last three movies flopped.

The most recent of her underperformers, David Michôd’s $15M-budget biopic Christy, made history with one of the top 12 worst openings for a new release that opened on 2K screens ($2M total gross).

Sweeney’s sports drama about professional boxer Christy Martin currently has a 66 percent critic approval rating (out of 155 reviews), but it boasts a 97 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

In August, two of the Spokane-born, LA-raised bombshell’s movies flopped at the box office. Her $9M-budget thriller Americana only earned $500K, while the $55M-budget Eden only earned $2.5M (despite Ron Howard directing).

In January, the Euphoria bombshell played Claire Garrett in Michael Pearce’s thriller Echo Valley for Apple TV+, which was poorly received and never had its theatrical box office gross revealed.

And last year, Sweeney played Julia Cornwall in S. J. Clarkson’s universally-panned superhero flick Madame Web, which barely broke even, earning $100.5M at the global box office.
