Sydney Sweeney revealed on Friday that she did something incredibly generous for her mother Lisa Sweeney.
‘I recently paid off my mom’s mortgage,’ the 26-year-old told WhoWhatWear, which she appears on the cover for.
She added that it was ‘a really big thing to be able to do.’
The house is located outside of California, noted the Washington state native, but she did not disclose how much was left on the mortgage. The median cost of a home in Washington state is $560,000.
The Euphoria star also told the magazine she paid off the balance to thank her mom for all her years of support.

Her mom as well as her dad Steven were always there for Sydney as she tried to land roles in Hollywood.
They had to make many sacrifices along the way, noted the blonde bombshell.
Now that she has a fortune in the bank, she is gladly paying it forward. ‘I always dreamt of taking care of them,’ she said of her parents.
Sweeney recently told Variety that her mother never had much money so she is happy to help her.
‘My mom grew up with barely anything. She got her GED when she was 16; she worked five jobs to put herself through school; she took care of her brothers,’ said the actress. ‘She takes care of everyone.’
Also in her WhoWhatWear interview the Immaculate star shared that she likes to stay close to her family.
She added they ground her in the crazy mayhem of Los Angeles.
‘I try to incorporate them into my life as much as possible, whether it’s talking with my cousins every other day or going home,’ she shared.
Home is in Spokane, Washington with a population of 230,000. LA’s population is 3.8 million.
‘It was hard because L.A. is very different from Spokane,’ continued Sweeney. ‘The cost of a big city versus a small city is vastly different and challenging as well.’

The home was originally owned by her great grandmother and great grandfather and was the place where both Sydney’s grandmother and mother were born.
But, after Sydney’s great grandfather passed, her great grandmother was no longer able to afford it and ultimately parted ways with it.
Now the home is back in the family after Sydney took matters into her own hands.
During an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Sweeney – who has been promoting her new rom-com Anyone But You as of late – revealed she contacted the owners last year and bought the house back.

‘My great-grandma had this beautiful house, two bedroom, cute house that they lived in,’ she explained to Kelly.
‘My grandma was born in it. My mom was born in it, and then as the kids got older, they built on the property another home,’ she added.
‘And when my great-grandpa passed away and my great-grandma got old they just couldn’t afford to keep it anymore.’
The American Idol alum noted, ‘Yeah the upkeep.’
‘It was a lot,’ Sydney agreed.
‘Last year I called up the owners, and I said I want to buy my great-grandmother’s house back,’ she said. ‘And it’s really cool too, my granny still lives in the house next door,’ she continued.
‘So, I’m neighbors with my granny now.’
Sweeney has been open about the financial difficulties her family endured as she pursued acting.

‘I watched my parents lose a lot. We filed for bankruptcy, and they lost their house back home on the lake,’ she explained to Women’s Health last month.
‘We couldn’t afford life in L.A. We couldn’t afford life anywhere.’
‘It was hard because they were supporting my dream, and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else,’ she continued.
In order to survive, Sydney took on jobs such as cleaning restaurant bathrooms, babysitting, and serving as a tour guide at Universal Studios.
‘I didn’t want to fail them. No matter how long it took, I was going to be in a TV show or a movie, and I wasn’t going to stop until something happened.’
Now, Sydney is a major actress in Hollywood following breakout roles in The White Lotus and Euphoria.
Her star is poised to shine even brighter with the release of her upcoming rom-com Anyone but You.
She and Glen star in Anyone But You as two people who get set up on a blind date that initially goes well before they quickly get sick of each other.

In a candid interview with Glamour, Sydney – who is rumoured to be engaged to her restaurateur beau Jonathan Davino – explained that when she goes home all her ‘pals and cousins’ are tying the knot or starting families.
On marriage she said: ‘I’d be crazy if I had a kid or got married before I’m 30 but when I go home all my friends or cousins are married and having kids.
‘I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I’m behind the train right now. How can I pick it up?’ So honestly it’s where I am in the world. It’s crazy.’
She added: ‘I think about having four kids. I dream of teaching them how to ski when they’re little and having them follow me around on adventures, taking them on hikes, teaching them how to build tree houses, just living through their imagination. That’s something I really, really look forward to.’
