SVU Star Unaware of Sabrina Carpenter During Guest Appearance

Ice-T has no memory of Sabrina Carpenter guest-starring on an episode of his hit NBC show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit back in 2011.

‘[She] was actually on Law & Order when she was a kid. I actually did scenes with her,’ the 67-year-old rapper-actor recalled to Us Weekly on Saturday.

‘I didn’t know who she was, but now they’re like, “You don’t know you were in a scene with Sabrina Carpenter?” I’m like, “Okay, cool. Got it, got it, got it.” But now, she’s a superstar. Obviously, she was a great actress.’

The 26-year-old pop star was only 11 when she portrayed child pornography/sex-trafficking victim Paula in season 12, episode 12 – titled ‘Possessed’ – who gets interviewed by Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) in her two-minutes of screen time.

Ice-T (born Tracy Marrow) and his wife of 23 years – Nicole ‘Coco’ Austin – share nine-year-old daughter Chanel Nicole Marrow, who’s a fan of Sabrina’s.

‘Chanel likes Carpenter,’ the Grammy-winning gangsta rap icon noted.

‘I don’t have any ins in her world. All my ins [are] already her uncles and aunts [from Law & Order: SVU]. I think we took her to see Olivia Rodrigo. She likes her [and] she likes Billie Eilish.’

Last month, NBC renewed the long-running police procedural for a 27th season, so fans will get to see a lot more from Ice-T’s NYPD Sergeant Odafin ‘Fin’ Tutuola.

The dimpled hip-hop star is scheduled to perform at Reggie’s Rock Club in Chicago next Saturday.

The Manchild hitmaker got her first break starring in the Disney Channel shows Disney Fairies, Sofia the First, and Girl Meets World before moving on to Orange Is the New Black and Girl Meets World.

Sabrina also got a leg up in the industry thanks to her being the nepotistically-privileged niece of The Simpsons star Nancy Cartwright.

Carpenter divided audiences with the new controversial cover for her upcoming seventh studio album Man’s Best Friend – dropping August 29 – which features her provocatively kneeling beside a man with a fistful of her hair.

‘I’m living in the glory of no one hearing it or knowing about it, and so I can not care. I can not give a f*** about it, because I’m just so excited,’ the two-time Grammy winner told Rolling Stone last Thursday.

‘It wasn’t written from a place of “How do I one-up myself?” or “How do I re-create something else?” It fed me, and it fed a lot of other people in the world. 

‘It felt true to me, and it felt authentic to a lot of other people. It’s rare that those line up ever, let alone more than once. It unlocked my brain to know myself more and more.’

Sabrina is next scheduled to resume her $33.2M-grossing, 72-date Short n’ Sweet Tour on July 5-6 at Hyde Park in London.

Carpenter has been a singer for the last decade, but her career got a major boost in 2023 while serving opening duties for Taylor Swift.

The Pennsylvania-born blonde bombshell – who gets 65.1M monthly listeners on Spotify – originally taught herself how to play piano and guitar with YouTube tutorials.
