On Thursday, it was revealed that Slade star Noddy Holder has been battling throat cancer for five years – after he was initially only given six months to live.
His wife Suzan Price, 57, detailed Noddy’s secret health battle in an emotional piece written for Great British Life on Thursday.
After being given six months to live following his diagnosis, Noddy, 77, underwent a new trial of chemotherapy, which has helped to keep him alive.
Noddy is best known for his band Slade’s festive hit Merry Xmas Everybody in 1973 – which is reported to bring in £500,000 in royalties alone each year.
The rock singer and songwriter, from Walsall, married Suzan in 2004, after an eight-year marriage to dress designer Leandra Russell – but who is Noddy Holder’s wife and how many children do they share?

According to IMDb, Suzan has also helped produce ITV’s All Star Mr & Mrs, a celebrity couple quiz show that aired from 2008 until 2016, and presented by Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton.
The producer is now a novelist who released her debut book Shake It Up, Beverly in June 2022.
According to Lincolnshire Live, the title of the book is named for the Beatles’ 1963 hit Twist and Shout.
Set in modern-day Liverpool, it tells the story of a Beatles-obsessed 50-something looking for a man to love as much as she loves bassist Sir Paul McCartney.
Suzan told Lincolnshire Live in 2022 that Noddy had served as an added creative force in helping to bring the book to life.
The author said advice from her husband had been ‘something to behold’ and that he enjoyed seeing her have a go in the spotlight, adding: ‘He really is quite laidback and I’ve been with him for so long.
‘I’ve written a book about a love of music when I’m married to a musician but it just kind of happened that way. There are so many good stories around the music industry, and it’s the kind of book I’d want to read.’
She added that a lot of Slade fans had expressed interest in the novel, and she’d received ‘great feedback’ from the male readership.
