Sam Mac has roasted his ‘nemesis’ Robert Irwin over his runway debut amid their long-running ‘feud’.
The Sunrise weatherman, 41, has jokingly feuded with the conservationist, 20, since he filled in on the Channel 7 show in 2022, and he has now renewed the rivalry.
Sam didn’t shy away from taking to Instagram on Friday to react to Robert’s runway debut at Melbourne Fashion Festival earlier this week.
Robert confidently strutted his stuff in three looks from designers Bagnato, MJ Bale and Godwin Charli for the Suit Up runway, held at the Royal Exhibition Building.
Reacting to his first foray into the fashion world, Sam was quick to poke fun at his ‘nemesis’ in a lighthearted Instagram video.

Sam took to Instagram on Friday to react to Robert’s runway debut by roasting the zookeeper, 20, while also hilariously sharing his own attempt at modelling
He revealed that his fans had been urging him to model to ‘keep up’ with Robert, prompting him to share that he had already done some fashion work of his own.
Doubling down on the rivalry, Sam hilariously shared a video of himself dressed in a vibrant multicoloured raincoat and wearing silver eyeliner as he strutted his stuff.
Confidently comparing their modelling stints, Sam said: ‘People have been sending me these shots of Robert Irwin saying he’s your nemesis, you better do some modelling to keep up! I’ve modelled! Your move Robert.’
The playful feud between Sam and Robert begin in July 2022 when Robert filled in for him while he was on personal leave.
The pair have taken friendly jabs at each other since then, with Robert’s enormous fan base wanting to see him on TV daily.
In September, Sam was then trolled by schoolchildren who called for Robert to replace him on the breakfast show.
It comes after Robert stormed the catwalk in three looks from designers Bagnato, MJ Bale and Godwin Charli for the Suit Up runway held at the Royal Exhibition Building
Putting on a very sassy display as he confidently posed, Robert raised eyebrows when he swapped his humble khaki uniform for an array of eye-catching menswear styles
Sam shared a photograph of himself standing next to a group of children holding handmade signs that read: ‘We love Sam Mac… but Robert Irwin for weatherman!’
Sam took the jab in good spirits, captioning the post, ‘Not again! This is getting ridiculous.’
Though he is not joining Sunrise permanently, Robert is set to make his debut on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia later this month.
He will join longtime host Julia Morris in fronting the Network 10 series, after beating names including Sam Pang, Jimmy Rees, Curtis Stone and Tristan MacManus to the presenting job.
