Hannah Berner was forced to apologize over her viral interview with one of the biggest stars in music at an Oscars after party.

The 33-year-old comedian and her podcast co-host Paige DeSorbo – who recently talked about freezing her eggs – interviewed celebs at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party on Sunday night.

And though they interviewed several massive stars it was their awkward interview with Megan Thee Stallion which went viral as Hannah said the 30-year-old rapper’s music makes her want to ‘fight.’

The media personality told Megan: ‘I start my day with you and only you. Your music has literally… when I want to fight someone, I listen to your music.’

As many blasted Hannah, she issued an apology on her Instagram Story on Thursday night which read: ‘Interviewing Megan Thee Stallion was a dream of mine. I love her music and it’s my go to whenever I need to boost my confidence before a show.

‘Looking back at the interview, I wish I used any other word except “fight” to describe how her songs impact me.’

The former star of Bravo reality series Summer House went on to apologize for her ‘careless’ words and issued an apology to the Texas native born Megan Jovon Ruth Pete.

Hannah concluded: ‘”It was a careless choice of words and though there was no ill intent, I recognize and acknowledge that what I said has a deeper meaning and I am so sorry to Megan.

‘I appreciate everyone who brought this to my attention.’

The clip of the interview was shared on TikTok and was flooded with comments about Hannah and Paige’s interviewing style as they were accused of microaggressions and even flat out racism.

One commenter wrote:  ‘This felt so racist. And they didn’t let her finish most her sentences.’

Another said: ‘Very micro aggressive. Megs music isn’t about fighting and the fangirling is a spectacle. Please hire real interviewers that know how to talk to black women as PEOPLE and not characters.’

Paige is a staple of the Bravo series as she has began on season 3 with her pal and is on season 9 which is currently airing.

Hannah has had a longtime feud with Summer House star Kyle Cooke which he commented on at a DailyMail.com party back in October.

The 42-year-old Loverboy founder took the high road as he said: ”All I can say is this about Hannah and Paige, I am so proud of what they’ve built.

‘They’ve built a community, they’ve built a platform, they’re hilarious, they’re entertaining, they have obviously taken it from the podcast to the live stage, they’re on tour.’
