Tasha Ghouri revealed she almost quit Love Island as she opened up about her experience in the ITV2 villa on Sunday.
The Strictly star, 26, who found fame on the hit reality dating show in 2022, admitted she wanted to leave the show because there was ‘so much going on’ all the time and she missed her friends and family.
Tasha, who was born deaf, revealed that after speaking to a therapist and the ITV welfare team she decided to stay on the show before making the final with boyfriend Andrew Le Page.
Speaking to The Sunday Times, she explained how halfway through Love Island she was ready to leave: ‘There’s so much going on, you don’t have your phones in there, you can’t talk to family and friends.’
Asked whether she would go on the show again, Tasha added: ‘Absolutely not! Look, I’m so thankful for the opportunity, it’s given me the platform, I met [my boyfriend] Andrew on it, but I wouldn’t do it again.’

Tasha and Andrew made it to the Love Island final before losing out to Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti.
The couple had a turbulent time on the dating series after Andrew caused controversy when he got very close to Coco Lodge in Casa Amor.
Tasha was left seething after Coco revealed she’d had sexual contact with Andrew while away from the main villa, prompting him to claim he’d forgotten about the incident.
Coco was unable to keep it to herself that Andrew had told her he wanted to ‘ruin her’ as he kissed her breast in the pool after she entered the main villa.
Tasha screamed at Andrew from the other side of the villa after learning of his actions, branding him a liar, telling him he’d ‘f**ked it.’
After telling Tasha about what had happened, Coco expanded: ‘A lot of touching, a lot of things were said. He obviously wanted to f**k me.’
Having been asked by Tasha if anything more had happened, Coco continued: ‘After sucking my t**s and telling me he wants to ruin me? It was genuine sexual talk.’
Speaking in the Beach Hut, Tasha said: ‘He’s showed me what he would be like on the outside world and I’m not here for that… He’s f**ked it. I’m done.’

Apologising to Tasha later, Coco said: ‘I feel like I’ve been holding that in. It’s just come out. Probably in the wrong way. I don’t want to cry but I feel guilty.’
She was then seen taking Andrew aside to tell him she’d revealed the situation to the group, to which he asked: ‘You told her everything?’
Coco said: ‘It may have slipped out sorry,’ to which Andrew replied: ‘It’s fine, it is what it is.’
However, Tasha and Andrew later put their differences aside after he apologised and they grew close once again before finishing in fourth place.
Now Tasha is starring on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing alongside professional partner Aljaz Škorjanec.
Tasha has admitted she has no worries about the Strictly’s curse as, ‘Andrew’s the man I’m going to marry at some point’.
This weekend, Tasha and Aljaz took to the dance floor in Blackpool to perform there Paso Doble and topped the leader board with an impress 39 points.
However it comes after Strictly fans shared their concerns for professional dancer Aljaz and begged him to ‘please get checked out’ following his performance last week.
The pair put on an incredible performance as they danced their couple’s choice routine barefoot.
Tasha and Aljaz received a standing ovation for their amazing routine, which included some impressive lifts.
As they made their way over to host Tess Daly ahead of the judges’ comments the pair were both short of breath.
Aljaz – who returned this series after a two-year absence – seemed particularly out of breath, with his heavy breathing being picked up by the microphone he was wearing.

It caused alarm for some Strictly viewers watching at home, who took to X – formerly known as Twitter – to ask the dancer to ‘get checked out’.
‘Aljaz you need to get checked out for that shortness of breath, love; I’m rather concerned that Aljaz is about to keel over with a coronary!

It was no wonder Aljaz was out of breath following the energetic routine which saw him and Tasha score a massive 39 points from the judges, placing them joint top of the leaderboard alongside JLS star JG Gill and partner Lauren Oakley.
